I think your english is bit poor i think you need to give a toefl and i am sure u r from hindi medium school, can't u read the heading "what are you doing on valentine day"?-that's call a question for you informtion. Why are you giving this crap like fast, money oriented, commerical world etc etc. U, Me and everyone here are earning for someone special and to see that special "SOMEONE" smile and show his/her love to them. So i think its better you try and enjoy ur day rather than writing this crap. HAPPY VALENTINE TO ALL.
Well, it depends what's more important in your life. Not sure how this love & other stuffs became so important to occupy a day in the calander. Typical American style I guess
I dont think, it is a good idea to encourage Valentines Day, as certain groups are trying to promote for their commercial activities. Does Valentine day celebration fair to everyone? For example fesitivals like Diwali, Eid, Holi can be celebrated by anyone without any prerequsite. But to celebrate Valentine, you need to have someone, which not everyone have in this busy world. I think it is crap, to say that you dont need special to celebrate Valentine day. In fact the word, Valentine means lovers or sweetheart in dictionary. It is an old roman tradition where Romans use to choose their sweetheart on Saint Valentines Day. So if you want to celebrate it with family just for the sake of celebration, then it doesn't make sense. Because there is mothers day, Rakshabandhan, Fathers day, Friendship Day for family members and friends.
That is the reason, Valentines day should not be at least promoted because it will create unequality amongst the people who dont have anyone special and it may make them deperate to find someone in a wrong fashion. In India, where there is cultutal importance, it should be ignored.
Those who wish to celebrate, celebrate it and those who don't like, kindly keep your valuble thoughts to yourself. There is no point in being moral guides and teaching ethics. So kindly do not bother those lovers who wish to celebrate it.
There is no harm in celebrating it.....Advocators of culture should start krishna-radha-day instead of bugging people who wish
I am frorm dallas, Texas, USA. There is a nice lake in dallas, its quiet and hardly anyones comes over there. Its a nice place to cuddle and be mushy.....
the only way to subvert all the elements that think V-day is bad is to make it a celebration of love - after all love is not only between bf-gf or husband/wife. The political parties who feel its wrong to celebrate Vday have picked the weakest non-issue to display their righteous fervour. Wish they would focus on promoting nation building - for starters they can stop taking bribes and think of their reason to exist - SERVE THE PEOPLE instead of serving themselves. Well that takes guts and ability - its much more easier to take a stick and smash a few shops !
