I have visited shirdi twice & once you visited that place you wanna come again & again there is something in shirdi's soil.Baba is there! believe me.My last visit was in teh Year 2005 we reached Manmad junction via goa express from delhi & took a taxi & for one taxi it costed not more than 400 Rs to shirdi & then we hav got a very clean & simple room in Bhakti niwas.for those who dont wanna spend much on hotels they hav a better option to stay in dharamshals & trust me these dharamshals are very good to stay the service ,rooms & everything is uptodate there.& also the temple is very near to that.Next day, we hired a taxi to shani shignapur & third day now we were packing our bags to go back form kopargaon this time which is nt so far from shirdi. But trust me my heart was nt allowing me to go from there.Just visit once shirdi u'll come to know.Baba kehte hain" Tu ek kadam aage bada meri taraf main tujhe lene aaounga" & thats true!
It was nice visiting Shirdi last year with my family. From Delhi we reached Kopargaon via Karnataka Express & took an auto-rikshaw @ Rs.20/- per person. Then we stayed @ Hotel Neeta Palace. It was a good Hotel & restaurant. First day, we were @ Shirdi only. Next day we hired a taxi 4 Nasik & saw Triambakeshwar temple, Panchwati, Sangam etc. Next day, we hired a taxi to & saw Shani Shingnapur, Ajanta Ellora, Bibi Ka Makbara, Renuka mata's temple etc. & next day in afteroon, took Karnataka express for back to Delhi. I feel that from day 1 when we planned to go, BABA was himself there 4 us.

Dear kindly advise me if auto-rickshaw is available from Kopargaown in the night at 2300 Hrs. I will be going to Dwarka, Somnath and then to Shirdi. I will be obliged. Regards.
In reply to Mr. mohammad vazeeruddin. If you plan to travel by train, then the station nearest to Shirdi is Kopargaon. Else, you can also alight at Manmad or Ahmednagar and take a bus to Shirdi. As for economic restaurant, you can try http://www.shirdi-goradias.com/aboutbudget.html. For travel by bus, you can try http://www.rajnationalexpress.in/

Pune to Shirdi is around 210 kms. It takes around 4 hours to reach from Pune airport. Rented taxies can be hired @ Rs.6/km (non-AC) approx. from Pune anywhere.......Anything else u want????
I have visited Shirdi last year along with my mother and family members. It was really nice to visit Shirdi. I strongly believe that only those people can visit Shirdi who have received call from Bawa. Sai Bawa can fulfill all desires of a person,if he bow his head with "Shradha and Saboori". Sai Bawa has given me all the things which I require and Sai Bawa gives all the things without demanding by the person because he knows what devotee wants. I request all the people to go and visit Shridi for Darshan of Sai Bawa.
I strongly differ about your suggetion of hotel. Their are much better hotels than with cheap Tariff. The best one is " Shraddha Park Inn " A 3* Hotel with the Best Ameinity @ Cheaper Rates. Ask people to try that or u can u that, will have a lovely experience.
Hey there! it's really a good post I really liked the whole itenary, presently I am in U.S. and I will be visiting India shortly, I will be grateful if you could tell me the time it requires by car to reach shirdi from pune and back.Your blog had increased my urge to visit to shirdi, it's being really long since I last visited shirdi.I thank you for the help.

Hi Niranjan,
By car it will take 3 to 4 hours to reach shirdi from Pune. Go Safe while going on highway. Road to shirdi is definitly good but not much wide so have to be careful while driving. If you are planing to come go there in Rainy season, i also advise you to visit trambakeshwar, Nasik...Its heaven, specially in rainy days..Lots on greenery in mountains and u wont afford to miss waterfalls...Its marvelous experience. Plan your trip end of june onward....
I beg to differ " Yash Raj is perhaps the biggest hotel/restaurant in Ahmednagar". Definitely not!!!!! Best places to eat in Ahmednagar are THAPPAR's INN and Panchsheel.
