I completed engineering and working in a BPO from past 3 years.
My engineering scores are not good but just passed.
Im thinking for IIM. but i have no Idea as to how to go for it
and from where should i start. Is a MBA necessary for IIM how
would IIM help me with my career in BPO. How should i start for it.
and also will it help if doing it in correspondence

kavi:hi vividh if you want to prepare for cat so the selection criteria of IIM's and weitage of each thing -------
1) Good Past Academic Record ( 10th & 12th & Graduation percentage )------ 10-20% weitage
2)Group discussion & Personal Interview---- 30-40% weitage
3)Your CAT score ------ 40-60 % weitage

You can start your prepartion to read newspaper, novels, literature books basically you have to shape up your vocabulary and make a habit in touch with current affairs and solve puzzling and etc. for develop good skills in reasoning and also good command on basic maths and general knowledge (Class6th-12th maths & generalknowledge)

What is the criteria for doing an MBA from IIMs
by Ashish Shukla on Mar 28, 2006 05:35 PM

Greetings Sir,

Ashish here. I need to know if there is any percentage required at the grauation level in order to get into IIMs. I want to crack the CAT but I have not even been through the competion yet. I completed my gradutaion in 2003 and the percentage is 55.5. Due to some finacial problems, I could not join the coaching in the initial two years. But now I have been working in an call center for the last one year and finacially strong to join the coaching. I am slightly dubious whether I am entitled according to the rules and regulations of IIMs or not because of this two year's break. Kindly suggest me.

Your help and suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Thanks and Regards,
Ashish Shukla
