DI was much difficult
by Akhil Sood on Nov 20, 2005 09:24 PM

Total no. of questions was 90 which was very less then expected and i could not attempt the questions as planned. And DI was the toughest section which was not expected at all.

the iims had a different answer for all the aspirants and coaching institutes by setting one of the most straightforward and a dyanamic paper with lot of unexpected and time consuming questions.but actually it was easier paper with an uncanny twist.

Best of Luck to all Aspirants of CAT 2005,
by Sonjoy on Nov 20, 2005 08:20 PM

CAT is a paper of solving problem in the given time with all your skill, Knowledge, by taking time factor into consideration. It is just like a CAT who finishes the milk by taking the initiatve to enter into the house and completes its job before any one comes to know about it. And enjoys the palatable dish but If caught it will get thrashing but it never stops and keeps on trying unless it succeds. In the same way if you have cleared the cut off then enjoy your life but if you have slipped then don't loose heart better luck next time.

Well..Since there were less number of questions, less choice for selection of questions. Though Quant was moderately tough, DI was pretty tough..English was as usual..Many 2 marks questions may lose to negative marks causing disaster

The cat is finally out of the bag. Some 1.75 lac candidates have tried to bell the cat this time. The IIM s give calls based on the percentile score only.Is it fare enough ? Dont u think they shud consider other factors like work ex , past acads(which r considered once a candidate gets a call)....i think these shud come into play while getting calls as well.....with so much of competition where 0.5-1 marks matter a hell lot,the iims shud consider increasing the number of calls as well as changing the pattern of giving calls....
