there should not be any charge as the purchaser will be required to use one's own resources for booking the ticket instead there should be some discount to promote the system as this will result in lesser crowd at the counter & reduced number of personell would be deployed at the booking counters.

Absolutely agree with S.B.SAHAY that there should NO CHARGE for e-ticket & in fact DISCOUNT should be given. e.g. ICICI provides stop cheque facility for free on internet whereas if done thr' customer care over phone is charged - THIS IS VERY MUCH LOGICAL !
