Smear campaign.
by mumbai on May 31, 2009 04:47 PM

Smear campaigns never won. So it is better to maintain a honest policy. you can not defeat any body by just making fun of him or just mudslinging.
Be decent. Always put proper agenda to help the people. Attacks will pay you return attacks only. Try to learn from your own mistake atleast.

Rahul's chamcha!
by K Chandru on May 31, 2009 04:38 PM  | Hide replies

How much was paid to write such an article here? Today's media can go to any extent to please the power centres and to survive. It's the same Rahul who declared a property of less than 2 crores (Sonia too declared similar assets worth). Where has gone all the kickbacks? How these people have suddenly become clean overnight? Would he or his party take steps to reveal the accounts holders and their worth in Swiss Banks? They won by mere fluke and because of greediness of Yadavs and others. Not because they are clean

again instead of confronting facts we see people resorting to silly partisan remarks that have nothing to do with the subject.
How can there ever be a debate on anything if Indians pander to petty prejudices?

Rahul has very important role to play.
by manoj sharma on May 31, 2009 11:56 AM  | Hide replies

Rahul can help India in big way. He has big family image. People would listen to him. He should focus on inspiring masses for economic growth that will help him and the country in long run. Other issue are tiny. The job creation, education, infrastructure are the future of india. If Rahul can involve masses into this, he can go in history as life giver.

Do you know why Rahul has not opted for any cabinet position? He wants to become don of Cabinet. He is simply watching every body and their working and he wants to get hold of every ministry. Therefore, one rank ministry is enough for him. After few months you will see all of a sudden Mr. Manmohan Singh will express his inability to run the government due to his health reason and shall request Mr. Sonia Gandhi for Rahul to become P.M. y that time Rahul's probationary period will be over.
This is a law of Dynasty.

In the old times, the kings used to keep b h a n d s at their courts. The job of the B h a n d s was to always sing praises of the kings.

It seems the old system continues till date, albeit in a modern form and a lot more glitter.

We must learn to differentiate between a journalist (who are very few) and a B h a n d.

As they say, hats off!
where can we find a historical catalogue of the different names and forms of the same thing used by kings, dictators, presidents/prime ministers and parties, whatever the episode and wherever it occurred?

Because I believe totally about 25-50 entities decide any change of rulership in any organisation, be it a country, a state, a broadroom, a team in a MNC, or elections or even the planet.
Of course, there will be great analytical works by scholars/analysts and some will even become movies like Hotel Rwanda.

A chart comparing the old and the new names and forms of the same thing would be great. Rediff could use one page per point and Next Next ...
