Laloo will be a victim of his arrogance
by pradeep agarwal on Apr 09, 2009 01:57 PM  Permalink

He has lost touch with his voters after being defeated in last polls. He now projects himself as kingmaker thanks to his proximity to Sonia during UPA rule. The entire game is up & people of Bihar will show him his place in this election & throw him to political oblivion.

Railways can never make loss
by commie basher on Apr 09, 2009 01:54 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The indian railways is a state run company which can never run out of money as it has the monopoly in its field. Lalu or no Lalu railways will always make profit or at the least it won't make loss.

Even i doubt Lalu's contribution to railways, but how can anyone explain the sudden transformation of loss making Indian railways to Profit making Railways.. You cant deny that it had monopoly over railways earlier

One of my relative is in the Ministry of Railways and he told me that it is the Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Mr. Sushil Kumar who is taking the decisions and Lalu has given free hand to him. Lalu simply gets the attention, that's it.

Also, note down these points:

1) Reservation charge has been hiked
2) Cancellation charge has been doubled
3) Break of journey is now treated as different journeys and each is one is charged to full ticket
4) Return ticket is charged Rs. 10 extra
5) Most of the trains are made Superfast and even superfast charges have been increased
6) 24x7 robbery in the name of Tatkal tickets
7) Freight charges increased
8) The weightage of goods on a wagon has increased inspite of engineers warning that it would weaken the tracks very soon
9) Security charge in tickets

So, no wonder that Railways are making profit. But it would be still interesting to note from where they are getting numbers like "90000 crores"??? We need to validate their accounts with an independent body and see whether its another Satyam.

Railways can eternally and indefinitely defer or refuse payments to electricity, diesel, coal, water, and property tax to local governments. Profit is earned this way.

Give credit to Laloo, as a railway minister he did have a lot of contribution for profit of railways.. If you think that it is only officers and others responsible for the upcoming, then why was it under loss for all these years...

Oh Mr. Purushottam,

Why don't the simple fact go into your dumb head that Lalu is cheating people. He has increased price of everything in the railways starting from platform ticket. And to make people fool, he did not increase the fare charges directly. And fools like you just gulped it without realising what it is all about.

Use your brain man before commenting.

Babu

They call him a joker even now
by commie basher on Apr 09, 2009 01:50 PM  Permalink

Even now we still call him the Joker. But, now we have realized how sinister and cunning this Joker can be.

To quote the Joker from the movie The Dark Knight "Poor choice of words" Mr. Lalu
