Hey his getting the high numbers could certainly be true. But his way of getting them were questionable. He moved most of the seats from general booking to tatkal booking as far as passenger trains are concerned. that itself would increase your earnings like hell. he also increased freight charges. more so it was fortuned by rising petrol and diesel charges for truckers who obviously demanded higher rates to use their services, not leaving much choice to the industry but to use the goods trains. Garibh rath trains have the cheapest quality of wooden boards possible. Ultimately he is charging more from the public. Whats the whole point in having profits for the govt company if the very services for which it has been set up are charged like hell.

At least apreciate his good work for railways: 1. making railways profitable. 2. starting so many new trains including Lucknow-Pune direct train 3. Making Tatkal facility in all the mail express trains. 4. Improving Goods Trains Still if you treat him JOKER then it is unjustified. He pretends to be a JOKER but one of the very intelligent fellow who has controlled BIHAR like state !!! what else ?

That is y v have to elect Vajbai, Mamta, Jayalalitha,- all are bachelors. Also those who married more than once should be barred from election eg. Karunanidhi - 3 wives - children 4(Known) Also Karuna has a record not attending after being elected to the legislature during Jaya as CM. Such a coward also he is.
IIM is more of a hype. Management in general is a hype. All the so-called great managers from top business schools of the world have acted extremely irresponsibly leading to the near collapse of the financial and automobile sector in the US. On the other hand, Laluji, the son of our soil, who has no management bull degrees has led our Railways into a profit making organization.
To say that Laloo turned railways around is the most cruel joke on the face of a common indian - who uses railways often. Only those experts who sits in the AC cabin of their office and only plays with the figures will make such a statement. Just look at the ground reality and then comment. The main reason for increase in railways profit is due to high amount of tatkal allocation for which a common man needs to pay rs.300 more. To get a normal ticket now a days has become that difficult that everyone turns to tatkal which gives railways more money, their profit - common man's loss. Then another thing laloo did was to introduce one more cruel joke - side middle berth. Only if someone travels in that fashion would understand the pain. Its not only difficult for the person traveling on that berth, but it makes other passengers lives miserable as this passenger has to be accomodated in the existing room for sitting. Result - extra passengers and more profit for railways - suffering for common 'aam aadmi' man. With crores of profit/reserves what has railways done for the common passenger ? his miserable travel conditions continues. He gets dirty compartments with rats & cokroaches. He gets the same dirty toilets at times with no water. He gets the same low quality food. In the last five budgets lalloo has put fwd he mentioned bullet train thrice, but in reality its just in the books. I wonder what has people seen other than these reality to shower praises on this manipulator.

Very well said. Apart from this trains are crowded. Moreover tatkal waited listed/RAC tickets are also issued and when you get in train no preference is given for the such ticket holders.
Platforms are upgraded with tile/granite flooring but no maintainence.
All these problems are not know to those who travel only for 1 or 2 hours. Only long tarvelling passenger know all these.

Also Computer e tkt reservation is the cause of the profit. Because 25% public they use their own net to buy e tkt. Adm.Cost is thus reduced
Lalu knows how to fool people..he acts like a joker..though he makes tricks in mind...so everybody has brains..and people like this dual personality should be kicked..
I am non political...
Just read his comments..anyway he was fit to work as buldozer driver...so if you imgaine...you will feel it...
polician can not be honest...may be 10% or so are honest, but they cant survive for longer time...
anyway laoo acts as a good joker, and public will be fool again...
so lets be fool again and again...and choose criminals...India is great...
