I dont know what has happened to Rediff people. I strongly object the name of the title as Laluland.Lalu is now not in the power there. He needs support of other parties like LJP to fight elections.
Also Biharis are very happy with the kind of development Nitish Kumar is doing. But media always give low publicity to him and considers Lalu Prasad as king of Bihar.Every anecdotes/jokes by him is a news and all the development related good news items from Bihar are being ignored.
Please put a though on this.

Laloo and Railways
by silk on Apr 09, 2009 02:55 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Are you really serious? Does the joker understand anything? It's by sheer chance that he landed people who could run a good show; and even that selection was sheer chance and it was not because of him, but in spite of him. Those who Tom-Tom this clown ought to think about the walk from Patna University-peon's official quarters to one of the richest in Bihar! Come to think of it; amassing a fortune to last generations by rearing cows! You can go tell that to the cows.

Regarding Comments here

People who are abusing Lalu here are most probably management "whiz kids" who are jealous that while their own counterparts in the US brought the world into severe recession, Laluji, who never had a management degree was able to pull the railways out of trouble.

know y u ppl deserve to be bihari, dancing to the tunes of media and politicians which manage everything with money or rather your money, talking abt railways how many of u know what he has done to achieve it
nothing...is the answer, increased fares for transport goods made some minor changes here and there that to the officers shld be given credit too
but increase in transport of goods has risen the cost of guds which u buy,so wheres the profit gone...dumb ppl out there

Lallu ram
by Sanjit on Apr 09, 2009 02:51 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Laloo ram has really done some good jobs for Indian railways. He is as per with successful corporate bosses. I apprciate that....

But Indian railways is still far away from standard. Most of the passenger boggies still are in dilapited condition and are full of rats, cockroach and foul smell. railways continues to serve sub- standard food to the passegers..

Laloo as a politician is very dirty.. Like Congi leaders, he is also master of appeasement & vote bank politics...

your Caption reads " A Tour of Laloo Land". You are right only in one way. He has treated Bihar as his personal fiefdom!!!!

As a Railway Minister, he has ignored all the other states in favour of Bihar. Yes, he did give a bit to some of the states ruled by the UPA Consituents. It is a pity that the Congress MPs/MLAs of the other states just kept quite without demanding better for their own states.
