he has done alot for railways. Those who knows railways better knows that. Yes he is a funny guy, not that educated but can handle things with the help of others. I like his confidence in speaking english that too at his best... ;-) Not many of us will get that confidence in such higher post.

You go and join a college now. Privatizitaion is always good for Country. Generates reservation free employement), makes profit and reduces corruption.

Mostly, Goverment should fund only for those industries which can not be afforded by our indian industrilist (like plane manufacturing , R&D etc.). Rest all the industry should be privatize. Govt. should focus on Health, Security and Education only for making country prosperous.

It seems you are big supporter opf Lalu. So, tell me why he could not make Bihar better in 15 years of tenure. he made Bihar from a Average to worst state. In railways as well, he just followed Nitsh's policies. Railways was recovering during Nitish's tenure but, profit could be seen after 1 years of Lalu's functioning.

You seems to be an educated person. Please do not divert other Bihaaris.

-----------------------------------------------
Read my comment, no where I said whether Privitization is good or Bad.
May be Privitization is good. I am talking about how privitization is done.
I am not an economist. But I used to work for Maruti in 2002. Maruti is privitized at discount rate during recession.
You do not sell your family jewel cheaply even if you have to sell. But Mr. Arun Shouri so called intellectual sold Maruti for nothing in 2002 recession.

Funny Amit you might have a good opinion on a personality having been educated and knowledgable person. Let me tell you unless you are close to that politician and you have already derived or going to get a benefit from him, you need not be so loyal....as they don't. Be practicle and think in development of state and country... not your caste or religion... think big...WHO CAN YOU SAY THIS POLITICIAN IS GOOD...BIHAR was made a mockery for years during Laloos regim.. You cannot compare 3 years of Nitish rule with 15 years of Laloo's misrule...Yes he is a Professor....A PROFESSOR FOR JOKERS...HE HAS DOCTRATE DEGREE...Dr Lalu Prasad YadavJi.

Maoists threaten to chop off hands of voters
by Raj on Apr 10, 2009 01:13 AM  Permalink

Maoists in Bihar have threatened to chop off the hands of voters who defy a call to boycott elections this month, the state police chief and residents said, citing posters appearing in public places. The Maoists say they are fighting for the rights of poor farmers and landless labourers, and have killed thousands of people since the start of the armed movement in the late 1960s."Anyone going to cast their votes at polling booths will have their hands chopped off", read handwritten pamphlets in Bedani, Baluganj and many other villages of Aurangabad district in eastern Bihar, according to residents. Officials and villagers said many such posters and leaflets have also been pasted on walls and electric poles in villages of at least seven districts in southern Bihar, where Maoists are said to hold sway in this poor, crime-ridden state.

the great lalu

for those who believe lalu is a good politician, try visiting bihar from your cozy homes for a change. in his regime, there was hardly a few hours of electricity per day, no proper water supply, n no visible metalled roads to speak of in most places. and 4 three election campaigns he promised "bijli, paani aur sadak!" now u can see the improvement under nitish...roads are being built. there is electricity for most part of the day and so on. and yet he criticizes nitish...i dont know on what grounds? perhaps it's another joke of his we haven't understood.

Are Amit Ji ki Budhdhiya Ahiro waali hi hi rahegi na.. At least, lalu ke rahate huye Ahiro ko train ticket to nahi lena padata tha. Bacha hua paisa inake so called " do number" ke dhandhe se aa jaata tha. Ab, Nitish ne sab ulta kar diya hai , to dukh to ho hi jayega.

Aur in sahab ko bata do ki India me koi bhi Power Plant ban ke khada hone me kam se kam 5 saal lagata hai. Upar se ye log to Bihaar me aur na banane denge. ( DO number ke dhadho ke liye andhera chahiye hota hai.).

Prashant Ji,

Explain this to Chatterjee. He said he started getting power from no where when Nitish become CM.
Tell him to be logical when he claim something.
Ntish failed to maintain DAM, which hit large number of people.
What a propaganda ....Nitish got Jadui Chadi ?? He has fixed everything.

Please vote for the right
by Vote on Apr 09, 2009 11:36 PM  Permalink

We have politicians who create regional and religious hatred, politicians who oppose projects like Tata Nano for political gains.

We can change our political system by voting for the right person and persuading/educating people around you to vote for the right person.

Loksatta led by Jayaprakash Narayan(Former IAS)is the only party which said it will not use
1) Money
2) Liquor
3) Religious hatred
4) Regional hatred to win in elections.

It is the only party which said it will not go for strikes to protest against government polocies but will protest in a democratic way.

For a country like India which has a 14% power deficiency importing nuclear technology for power generation is very important. Loksatta is the only party which was not part of the UPA (ruling coilation) which supported the Nuclear deal and urged other parties to support the deal which is very essential for our country.

When govt increased fuel prices because of the increased prices in gulf countries all oppositon parties did unfruitful works like using bullock carts to goto assembly. But loksatta is the only party which said we should reduce our dependency on oil (petrol) we should start using unconventional resources and fuel efficient technologies.

It is the only party which talks about providing good education and health facilities, infrastructure.

Let us all contribute by voting for the right person and campaign for parties like Loksatta which have great principles
