It is too costly to conduct each round, we can't afford to have 2 rounds every election.

Laloo brought the image of Bihar further down . And now the railways. WHo has travelled the rail in recent years? Try it at your own risk. Filthy trains, tickets neverabnailable, even if booking 2 months in advance, but ask for an emerhency ticket, and yu will get it for 3 times the price. Trains without water. Stations without proper amenities, the list goes on.
Laloo has made trains for the 'aam junta'. And aam junta means travel cheap and in filth. WHy should I , a aam junta who has travelled the rails for 20 years in sleepers enjoying cross country travel , have to take to filth. Am I not entitled to more modren and clean rail journeys? Why has a sleepr been relegated to almost general quota?
And Laloo ever travelled in the Gorakhpur Express, it smells of his cows. Uggggg!

Its true Laloo brought the image of Bihar down. But you should check your statement on railways. Laloo has done some thing good for railway. Look at budget you will find it.

so how come he could not pull the same stunt in Bihar when he had the chance for decades? irony huh?
OUTSIDE AGENCIES GAVE MILLIONS TO MEDIA COMPANIES TO PORTRAY LALOO AS A ECONOMIST, WHO FIXED THE RAILWAYS, FOR VESTED INTERESTS.
TRUTH IS THAT HE DID NOTHING, AND JUST FUDGED THE NUMBERS.
USA/EU WANT LALOO TO BE THE NEXT PM, SO THAT THEY CAN MANUPULATE HIM, LIKE THEY DID TO NEHRU, AND SCREW INDIA, HENCE THEY HAVE PAID MILLIONS TO MEDIA MOGULS TO PORTRAY LALOO IN A POSITIVE WAY, SO THAT INDIANS EXCEPT HIM.
am wondering any politicians are talking about the Kashmir pandits ?, they have lost every thing there home, there birth place .....I feel bad for the actual poor people. At the end of the day this politicians have made tons of money by confusing poor people. IS this not enough lesson, or we need more of this kind. voter think hunded times before you elect people.
the world knows India by its poverty.People should note vote but kill politicians for their misery. When they have fear for their lives they will think twice before standing for elections.Their security guards have a great role to play in this. How much do the body guards of these politicinas earn? They should claim 80% of these politicians assets, as they live at their mercy.

No one will be ready to lead the country for the fear of being killed. The problem is not "Choice". The Problem is us ordinary Indians who are responsible for this mess. Our hungry voters will only vote for a person who promises 2 rs kg rice but will not ask the person who promises that , how will you be able to provide it. Our voters dont vote for person who can promise free and fair facilities to all people but only to people who belong to particular community or caste. Our voters vote for people who promise to build Mandirs and Masjids and not those who promise to clean up the area near these holy sites. Every adjacent place to a holy place is covered in filth. No one promises to have it cleaned because that will not fetch them votes. Dont blame the politicians. Politicians are a reflection of our society. "AAM AADMI" is himself /herself very corrupt in everyday walks of life. How do you expect the politicians to be any different. We dont ask for accountability from our politicians, we vote and we forget.

India is the only country where Hindus are now called fundamentalists and terrorists! For years, I have lived outside India (because I could not get a job due to reservations for SC/ST and bias against upper caste Hindus1). In USA (especially Boston area)- Radio talk show hosts constantly cite Hindus1 as a model minority, peaceful and productive. Now, compare that to India. Today, Pope gave a speech, in which he criticized the Western countries for becoming too secular. In his own words, "secularism is killing religion"- in India, it is definitely "designed" to malign and debase our 6000 years of heritage, the oldest on this planet, ageless, never withering beauty- that is Hinduism.

Fluffy... The scale and nature of problems in India are very unique and it is almost impossible to stereotype Hindus to be a peaceful lot or Muslims to be an aggressive lot. It is like the parable about blind men describing an elephant. I find it amazing that a country with so many different religions, languages, castes and subcastes is able to exist in the first place. Perhaps, it was not the best idea to create a unified country with such diversity (the problems are inbuilt in India), but now that we are here, the most straightforward way to deal with the situation is secularism (simply meaning separation of religion and state), which is what our constitution makers attempted. I feel that the real problem is that the meaning of secularism in government has been twisted by politicians, who simply play on the minds of the common folk, to mean anti-hindu, anti-brahmin (although brahmin community is numerically a minority) and pro-religious minority (muslims, christians etc.). What is amazing is that it is not just the illiterate and sparsely educated folk that get caught up in this mesmerism, but also well read people, who should be able to look at the larger picture. The vote bank politics and reservation policies, without a mathematical logic, have proved extremely harmful and have hampered the ability of educated people to think rationally and reasonably.

Fluffy Kumar, In your name you are what bluff, The Islamic terrorism is the creation of Western forces,In US you are happy to with your tail hide behind your leg, If minorities in india live in that way you are living in Western countries,There would be no trouble at all.Eventhough our minorities like christian want right to convert others to their religion. In India it is not the question of practiceing ones religion.Particularly minorities behaviour to black mail majority through western elements are the real reason.Further Pak/iran/afghan/Gulf/Bangladesh are the neighbour to india,So all the terror ation there and wealth accumulation there will create impact on india also. Even with largest diversion indian are the only people who give the safest bed for any minority.
