Please note that the current Congress is CONGRESS(I) (I- for Indira) which is formed by Indira Gandhi with a faction of then congress leaders. INC has nothing to do with Congress (I). If that is the case, even Trinamool Congress can also be called as Indian National Congress; just because the founder of INC is W.C.Benerjee, holding the same sir name of Mamata.
In the article it is mentioned "The new voters know nothing about the Congress' role in leading the Independence movement or forging a modern India." This is a sweeping statement and is highly ridiculous. Throughout the course of a childs education from class 1 to 12 in any History class there are detailed sections on how India won its freedom. There is enough credit given to the Congress led by Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Nehru and others. Also there is detailed information throughout most classes about how Pandit Nehru and the PM's following him created modern India. Kindly do not get into such generic statements with no factual backing. The reason the Congress is failed because it tries to use nepotism as the main leadership quality and had a heavy handed central control without giving power to some of the regional powers.
Whatever they may put in the manifesto, all parties are the same when it comes to avoiding addressing the grave problems of India today namely: 1. Population explosion 2. Institutionalised corruption 3. Massive criminalisation of all the top 30 political parties 4. Total commercialisation of education, health care and religion 5. Deadly noise pollution & air pollution 6. Encroachments of urban roads & footpaths on a massive scale 7. Excessive bureaucracy 8 Total lack of accountability & responsibility among government employees at all levels 9 Deforestation on a massive scale
Sir, It is Indian National COngress (Indira) and not Indian National COngress as you have mentioned. It can not be called the original Congress party which fought for the freedom of this country.This is the faction of the led by Late Indira Gandhi.
Dont you think that the work of the leader of opposition starts immediately after the elections are over? Mrs.Gandhi is performing the road shows at this juncture when is she is going to be the leader of opposition once again. Congress during 5 years tenure of this government tried to keep the parliament on hault for many days but it would have been much better when this government failed to stop corruption, to stop heavy price rise the congress would have gone directly to the public by performing the rallies and giving a calls of bandh etc. The congressmen today is in disray and they don t understand where the party is going without able leadership. When 70%VOTERS in this country who are going to vote in this elections are below 40 years and are educated why congress wants to continue with the leadership who is not experienced in politics? Just with the NEHRU GANDHI PARIVAR you cannot win the elections that has to be remember by you all. Also you are aware that if voter turnout is in favour of congress then what will happen if MRS.GANDHI has to deal with the shrude coalition partners like mulayamsingh,laloo,jyotibasu,somnath chatterji, mayawati and the neighbour mushraff
I am dissapointed that you are quoting the present Congress as one started by Mahatma.This Congress has split & the present Congress is Congress I[Indira].Don't bring shame to Gandhiji's name.
Will you write about BJP in the same degrading tone . I know you wo'nt .What is the history of BJP . Did not participate in the freedom struggle ,first killed muslims in name of Jansangh and now in the name of BJP, killers of Mahatma Gandhi, still has not cut it's umbical cord with RSS an organisation who doesn't believe in the Indian Constitution, in the name of welfare of Hindus has brought them to the same level as that of Babar and Nadir Shah ,in actuals can put them to shame as they have done in Gujarat. What corruption Cong did in 40 years they have done in 5 years .Take Pride in that and make an informer again the PM of India.No country in world will ever do that .Future indian generation will never forget or forgive you.
