Perhaps Shastri has been paid back in his own coin. If he complaints against Ganguly, then he should remember that when he had his own zamana, he treated ganguly the same way. "Kolkattaka rasgoola" was his comment about Sourav. Rather he should be respectful to Ganguly when it comes to Cricketing performance.
Shastri's disappointment is understood. He survived in cricket world though his performance as a player was not so bright. he should adjust with the time and start writing his autobiography.

I agree. Here too he milked the system to the max. So, obviously he wanted to continue. But the fact remains he was very ordinary cricketer.
