CAN WE EXPECT THE NO.1 SIDE TO BE MORE COMPETITIVE PLEASE ?

I think the biggest positive Hashim Amla can take after 4 days of play in the two Tests must be that he didn't have to do much of his indifferent captaincy. Not just his ‘can't care less’ attitude batting but one wonders is he really serious to play competitive cricket to win or is on a Taj Mahal sight seeing tour ? His game plan--from batting order to bowling changes ... and his other tactical moves of his captaincy only he can fathom, no one else and precisely are the main reason for losing the Mohali Test against a struggling Indian side just in 3 days ! Where is the intensity as a captain to pin down the opposition and win Mr Amla ? The inept batting , the SA side have exhibited so far except for ABD and Elgar certainly reflects poorly on his indifferent leadership. Much better cricket were expected from the world No 1 ranked team. Supposed to be the best touring side the quality of cricket on display so far is very disappointing indeed. Coming to the Bangaluru Tests, all fans on the ground and across the country on TV certainly must have felt cheated w/o any game after 1st day . The ground looked quite dry on the 4th & 5th day for some game at least. Somehow the impression one got was avoid resumption to the extent possible and save further exposure of Indian batting using rain pretext. Prepare boys to be ready to face the spin challenge better at Nagpur making use of the interim period. All in all the much hyped IND-SA Test series is yet to gath

(contd.)..to gather steam with just 4 out of the 10 days of some lackluster cricket played so far. ABD’s superlative batting and some brilliant spin bowling from both sides were the only saving grace.
