AN ARROGANT AND POWER BLIND SRINIVASAN LOSES FACE
by damodaran mohan on Jan 24, 2015 06:02 PM  | Hide replies

It was coming. For all right thinking persons familiar with the court case, petition etc the SC judgment is on expected lines. Now that all the avenues and options are tightly shut for him in the short term should Srinivasan feel crestfallen with a sense of disbelief then no one but he has to blame himself as he failed to read the SC early warning signals at least a year ago and take corrective actions!Srini could have as well annulled the ill conceived amendments, given up ownership of CSK and set in motion systemic reforms in the working of BCCI at the earliest warning signals from SC! Instead he chose to submit details of share holdings pattern in India Cement defending something indefensible. Very foolish indeed !. Fact of the matter is in BCCI the working is so arbitrary that there is ‘conflict of interest’ galore more as a rule than exception and perhaps that is the reason why Srini and his cronies take it as normal business unable to read early SC warnings! Power blind and arrogant they refused to see reason inspite of repeated SC warnings during interim hearings. Another thing that must be wrankling Srini’s mind must be the thought that Lalit Modi operating through proxis has succeeded in avenging his ouster by Srinivasan from BCCI. It is certainly a humiliating blow to an otherwise a very successful and powerful man who did contribute a lot to Indian cricket. However being currently in power SrinI has to take the brunt of the SC judgment alth

(contd.)..However being currently in power SrinI has to take the brunt of the SC judgment although whether it is Srini or Lalit Modi or Shard Pawar…….etc. all are same and part of the same cozy club operating in identical arbitrary fashion w/o any accountability. In a way the Srini-Modi spat could prove to be blessing in disguise that will help improve Indian cricket. We can only hope the SC judgment will pave way for not just a change of personality but will also pave way for institutional changes in BCCI to put in place the required systems of transparency and accountability.

mr satyanarana it seems that u are a nortie who is jealous of srinivasan sir sucess .. the board was under loss when srinivasan sir took over and he has made it a giant financial force through his administrative skills and today india is looked upon the most powerful board ..cant u see that the decision is partial ..doing llb and being an advocate isnt enough ..u should look at ground realities also
