Please dont berate him
by S Singh on Nov 13, 2013 07:42 AM  | Hide replies

He has been an ace cricketer who spent his life in five star hotels, so he would not understand the problems faced by athletes who have to struggle for a square meal.
Secondly the day he enters politics he will start losing respect.
So please leave him alone.

he wasnt born with silver spoon in his mouth..
he had one pant to wear while he was in school...

i highly recommend you to want that interview of him, where he mentioned that he use to wear that pant everyday and at time with wet pockets...

if you work hard in your company and ur job requires to travel so would you stay in lodge or a hotel?

Joke!

Manmohan Singh is one of the most knowledgeable persons in the country. We all know what a disaster he has been as a PM. If knowledge meant automatic success, then MMS would have been the most successful PM in India's history!

Does this not prove that knowledge alone is not enough to be a successful leader? People trying to suggest that Tendulkar will be a successful sports minister because of his 'knowledge' are absolutely na￿ and far from reality.

Laughable
by Harish Pandit on Nov 13, 2013 04:16 AM  | Hide replies

The guy knows a lot about the game. He knows how to hit a ball. Many different ways. He knows how to bowl a ball. Many different ways. He knows how to catch a ball. Many different ways.

However i doubt he knows anything else. Forget administration, i doubt if he can be a good commentator or even a coach. He was wise enough not to become a captain.

Let him be. Let him have his parade as great soldiers do. And figure out what he wants. He is a good figure head and a good brand ambassador.

Great. But now worth putting on a pedestal.

SACHIN NOT GREAT
by Sahoo Dhruba on Nov 12, 2013 08:44 PM

Sachin failed to be a Good captain. Hence expection from him as a sports minister, will be like his captaincy carrier. So I want to see him as a good crickter for ever not as a failure minister.

India is the only cricket playing country where we keep on pampering a player till he plays 200tests or captures more than 431 wickets.
This is a contrast to players like Sir Don Bradman who retied after scoring 6996runs(not waiting to complete even 7000 runs)or Sunil Gavaskar after scoring 10122runs in 125 test(not waiting for his 150th test)

I hope not I do not agree ! For any person to be preferred as a minister he should fist be a people's man and not simply fan's man. Sachin needs to get into the mode of shouldering the responsibility of the office he is to preside over his group of officers. One need not be a sportsman to understand the problems associated with sports.
