In times of Gary Kirsten, the world cricket was going thru MEDIOCRITY and teams like Aussies, SA and England were in their transition phase.

I am not sure if same Gary Kirsten will make much of a difference to this AGING, OVERRATED and non-performing players with mediocre bowling attack and part timers.

too much of cricket and greedy BCCI
by yarlagadda sreenivas on Jan 03, 2013 09:41 PM

THis is the result of too much cricket. hope that BCCI will treat cricket as a sport rather than a business

The Cool captain inherited a great team built by Dada and he took

the credit. Now the real color is showing as the greats have left and they can't be blamed any more for the loses. He can blame losing or even winning the toss.
But the true reason is IPL, too much of cricket - stop these two and see the difference.

Dhoni
by sivanandam lakshmanan on Jan 03, 2013 09:37 PM

As Dhoni is still captain after so many losses in Tests,ODI's,T 20 s every player taken for granted their place & losing each game ignonimously & that too with huge margins.
Hence sack this total team especially the so called seniors/uselesses(Gambhir,Shewag,Yuvi,Dhoni,Raina,Kohli,Jadeja&the no 1 useless Dhoni) bring in new team for 3 rd ODI .The result can't be worse than this.
Any body to Listen ?(BCCI & its foolish selectors aka Deaf/Dumb/Idiotic/Blind).

Sehwag is doing bad need to be dropped.
by samudra blr on Jan 03, 2013 09:36 PM

Sehwag has done badly in the matches so far. Kohli also is not contributing. Strong opening partnership was required, but today top order failed miserably and India lost the plot when they lost 4 wickets quickly.

Ishanth has improved a lot. Bhuvaneshwar is find of the series, but during later matches the batsmen were able to play him better.

Players in poor form should be removed and be asked to prove their form in Ranji.

Immediate changes required in indian team
by nagaraj naik on Jan 03, 2013 09:34 PM

Following Immediate changes required in indian team :
1. Follow split captaincy
For test : Sachin Tendulkar should be given captaincy till permanent captain is found
For ODI : Dhoni should continue as captain
For T20 : Virat Kohli should be given chance

2. Indentify 5 good young pace bowlers and 5 Spinners, get them trained from wherever possible till they match international bowlers, and rotate them for every series.
3. Remove all senior players from T20 and give chance to fresh youngsters.
4. ODI & Test team should have mix of senior & youngsters depending on their performance.
5. Remove coach with immediate effect, and make indian coach and get wasim akram as fast bowling consultant, get murlitharan as spin consultant, Rahul Dravid as batting consultant

Do we really think Sachin can make a difference?
by Jaya S on Jan 03, 2013 09:33 PM  | Hide replies

Absolutely not. If we all think, Sachin is Indian cricket, are we not belittling the contributions of greats who played with Sachin (guys like Dravid, Kumble, Ganguly, Sehwag) and before him. Cricket has been alive before Sachin and will be after him. He is not the be-all and end-all of Indian cricket. Selfish guys like him who hang on to their places for records are the real reason why Indian cricket is stagnating.

I agree, Sachin took too long to retire . If he had retired at the right time, we could have groomed a replacement properly by now.

Rememeber if he hasn't made all those records no one would have known Indian team. He was the first man on the planet to make 200 runs, 100 th international centuries and many records. He has made India proud with his records. In history it is recorded as the first Indian cricket. Country's name first. He is not selfish tou all selfish. I have stopped watching cricket i only watched for Sachin. i will watch test though as soon as he is out i am out. It's good that he took long to retire otherwise Indian team would have been at 20 th place by now. good luck. All your youngesters are liking IPL and have enough money they dont need to play for counry.

Prescription for success

All visiting teams should only play Ranji matches where any jadeja can score a triple century in each innings and no 7 & 8 from Haryana can set a batting world record for most runs.
Abolish team India ... did I mention team ? what team ??
