South Africa vs Australia -- continued

The admiration of all of the cricketing fraternity towards the australian;s adaptibility in sub continent condidtions where they have been the only team to win test series in india, pakistan and srilanka when they were at their peak...just awesome was the way their pace bowlers found ways to bundle out the home teams even for lessesr scores virtue of their off cutters , slow bouncers etc...was a sight to watch..we still rmemeber they bowled out india for 173 in eden gardens when their bowling and fielding was envious ...in steve waugh'e era...then their 2-1 series win in india..and recently their show in the ODI series against pakistan where they won 2-1 gave them a serious morale booster before this world t20..going by form i believe they are the team which have the skills to go all the wAy..see how they adapted themselves to oppositions in the two super eight matches...their win against india was because of their pace bowling prowess and their win against south africa was bcoz of their spinners' skills..they always find out best of their resources strengths in times of needs bcoz of their eagerness to learn and win on any conditions in amanner that only they can do....whereas south africa has always been steoreotype in their approach ..their one dimesnional attack comes cropper in big tournament matches..their fielding panicks and their batting crumbles in big matches...just the mental blockage they have .. the inability to bring out the A game under pressure haunts them

The two most professional sides in world cricket..many similarities between them with regards to fighting qualities , consistency in their performances over long periods of time of 10 15 years..their all round cricketing skills with respect to three dimensional cricketers..everybody contributing in all aspects of the game and considering their team over individuals and the ability to find out unknown match winners in critical times for themselves.Any more similarities..??
But their are almost equal number of dissimilarities as well..
Starting with the C word;its not just mere misfortune that they are considered chokers..theirs more than a fact to it..like pakistan do against india ; south africa do the same against australia perhaps in world cups..they also crumble under the weight of expectation and pressure..South africa always strugglew against australia even in bilateral series ..they couldnt beat them in the test series being huge favourites..they drew the series 1-1 after being 1-0 up in their own den..i think south africa has not beaten australia in atest series at their own den for 10 12 years now...there are so many cases i remember in big matches south africa always come second against aussies ..there were two benson and hedges series where south africa lost the best of three finals being 1-0 up and wiinning all the group league matches before finals...the reason being winning big matches require flexibility and adaptibility which aussies have much more.

Semi Final line up
by priyankush ghosh on Oct 01, 2012 10:38 AM  | Hide replies

Seeing the way south africa has once again lost out of world cup because of their tendency to fail to bring up freshness in their strategies and lack of adopting to horses for courses policy in their cricket over the last decade or so;I see india coming up good against south africa.Pakistan would struggle against australia going by their batting form..aussies would expose them big time and they are playing relentless highly flexible cricket at this moment..no tem has the adaptibility strength that aussies possesss...manjrekar rightly appreciated their attitude over the years in trying and being successful to achieving results all over the world by their sheer strategic executional strengths an d their implementation of plannings..newhere in the world under all circumstances..and shane watson has been the icing on the cake..aussies would be number 1 and india number 2.In the other group srilanka and west indies would be number 1 and 2.Though england looked good the other day against kiwis ; their bowling looked very balanced...but srilanka i believe would be a bit too tough for them..That means its india vs srilanka and australia vs west indies in the semi finals..Anything can happen henceforth..But the way the aussies have played in this tournament ;India or srilanka would find it tough to beat them..So My prediction is australia winning the world t20

India in most cases over a period of last 10 years has been a team like this..when they are put to corner, they put up their best performance in must win knockout games especially against pakistan..and sourav ganguly is absolutely right in assessing that pakistan has crumbled under pressure against india in world cup tournaments over the last 15 years..its very very true...its not difficult to assess the way they play against india in world cups .. 50 overs or 20 overs .. they always lose by dropping catches, sloppy fieldings, panicky batting...and kudos to indian batsmen by playing the best against pakistani strong bowling line up..earlier it was sachin , nowadays its Virat Kohli..india has found another gem in its batting pedigree..India i believe would face much stiffer battle against south africa..becoz they have the attack to expose indian team's somewhat fragile middle order with their well directed and controlled aggressive pace bowling attack..They wouild be somewhere between pakistan and australia in their execution and planning skills..so India beware as south africa has nothing to lose ..they may play freely which they have not done so far in the super eight stage..play harbhajan in place of balaji against south africa..south africa struggle against spin .big match coming on tuesday..pakistan would be very lucky to win against aussies..i believe its aussies and india from this group as 1 and 2.From the other group it would be srilanka and west indies as 1 and 2.

it is true that if India lose this match against Pakistan no public will be coming to see the match of India and south Africa in the same ground the Pakistan has played against south Africa they know the pitch predictions even then Pakistan taken risk to bat after winning the toss then it is fixed it is sake of money

Whenever pakistan lose a match their public says it was fixed but how many matches does they fix because they have lost everytime to india in world cup so this fixing is out of question india played well and were clinical however on contrary pakistan played worse even than afganistan so plenty of things to improve for pakistan before aussie match else they will ne tormented and will be thrown out of competiton.
