He has every right to give advice as players at his level are not judged by the international boundaries but class. He is repeating only what the other two greats of game,Kapil & Gavaskar have said to Sachin. It is different matter that he may finally do what these greats don't want him to.

People in the subcontinent tend to get blind with adulation. You emotionally get attached to a person and end up putting them on a high pedestal. Sachin can continue to play for another few years but most people who use rational, not emotion, will realize that he can't expect to play like he did during his younger days. Anyway, it's unlikely that a selector will ever have the guts to sack Sachin. So, let's enjoy his performance until he decides to call it quits. Personally, I hope he retires from the test and T20 format but continues to play in the ODI format, especially until the next world cup. Good luck.

We saw that yesterday when a game that should have been won without sweating was lost to needless acts of emotions
