Bye and thanks Dada for all that you had done to create the 'team India'. I see lot of comments here and am sure most of the writers' would run like a mouse seeing a 130-140KM ball coming towards him, that too from a mere 22 yards away. Easy to talk on something we can't do and more easy to say adusive / jokes about the heros (else how these pigmies be visible?), and I am sure the heros know how to avoid them. Thanks and Best wishes for whatever you do next and honestly, the cricket world is missing and will miss you in days to come.

on drop of Ganguly should open their eyes now and think that the past decision was right. Otherwise one can think that what would have happened to KKR once again they would have to come togather to play as a team..

He is not a loser, he is a losing winner. He was unfortunate to be on the losing sides. His luck was not good that when he was part of the losing KKR and not the champion KKR. It is like buying a winning lottrey ticket and losing it before the jackpot. I have great symphaty with Ganguly. A straightforward and simple man. A very talented cricket. But in Cricket as in life, luck plays a very important role.

hope
by Abhijit Nair on Oct 29, 2012 03:13 PM  | Hide replies

hope was that he played this yr in Ranji trophy so that the indian viewers would be spared his torture which comes in the form of his commentary.
he has a boring voice and repeats one point (that he picks up early in the day) for the whole day.
It is better to stick him to be expert in studios and post game pre game shows which he does well.
But Star cricket please save us from his torturous live commentary.

LOLZ, I found Sidhu a better commentator than Ganguly (inspite of his 99% English phrases & 1% commentary) :):)

Ya, but I feel we need a revamp in the commentary box more than the need of change in the team.....

A very sensible decision by Sourav Ganguly. Now he should dedicate his time to commentary and guiding the youngsters about the game and leadership.
