No rights to retire
by Kesavan Rangarajan on Mar 17, 2012 04:33 PM

Sachin had no rights or India would not have allowed him to retire unless he scored 100 tons. Again, Indian fans will not allow or Sachin has no rights to call it quits until he scores another ton in ODIs which is 50th century in ODIs.
He has so far hit 49 tons in ODIs. After scoring 50th ODI century, he can personally decide to continue play or call it a day.

If a team can't defend 290 score against Bangladesh..

then its batsmen fault or bowler and captain's fault?

Its shame, we ve bowlers in our team who r even worst than Kenya or Holland bowlers.. At least they will fight.. We should play 11 batsmen rather taking 4 or 5 bowlers in team in ODI

First you show how to jump. No one bashes him now. He bashes himself up with his quotes.

Does that mean Dravid's decision was selfish?

Sachin - you are just trying to fool yourself & your fans by these kind of statements..I don't care if you don't respect your critics, but also remember there are so many who have already lost respect about you!!

Dravid failed in England, Australia recently. His defence or wall first time shows a hole. He was not at the top of the game. Instead he failed continously and he retired. Dravid retired at the time of his failure, ofcourse it is not selfish.

Rahul failed in England?!!

and you are saying Sachin is on top of the game from last one & half years?!!

Dravid's decision shows how mature he is in his thinking and how well he understood what is best for Indian cricket. Sachin's statement again proved why many of us think that he plays only for his records and personal milestones.

Do yo know dravids decision was based on that he should retire when he is on top of his game or rather when he know he should as he is not dat gud and there r players better than him.

you r right they just want to say some thing as they are unemployed... if he did not score hundred then they would say he is not capable of scoring hundred against bangladesh, now he has scorred so they say he scored against the bangladesh. we know how many still love to watch Sachin playing and switch of the TV when he is out.

Retirement is about when u think now there are others who can serve better than you not for own glory and he rightly had said that is being sellfish.
