masses, media needs sachin , no one comes to watch gambir or raina, Indian families along with their kids like to watch sachin, so why crib, let him play, he at least does a honest effort

Entire sport pase is filled with cricket, as if no other sports are played in country. Even Dhone smikles also it is aNews for Rediff. The hockey and regarding its result no sinle column is mentioned. How other sports gets encouraged here Shame ....

How can you assume that sachin will be making his 100th century against Bangladesh. ? I think, even if India plays a 3 match Test series against Bangladesh , Tendulkar won't be able to score a century . He is past his prime.
Few others in the same class of Virat Kohli or even better are left out due to having some past their expiry date. We are flogging old horses - hoping against hope. Sentiments and emotions do not win matches. Call a spade a spade. If selctors are scared, feed relevant data on computer and it will do the rest.

sachin still playing better than anyone in the indian team now..dont forget that man..if he not middle the ball and struggling for form then u r ok but he still playing superbly..playing means not century only
Considering the opposition I am sure that we will win the Asia Cup. This was yet another opportunity to select a new look team and certain changes have been made which is good, The selectors have retained Sachin only to give him an opportunity to score his 100th ton. Hope he does it in the final match in tri series so that he can announce his retirement. The reason to drop Shewag was obvious. Coupled with his performance he does not see eye to eye with Dhoni.

Hope we reach to Commonwealth series final. Inthat case the following to be dropped. Shewag, Jadeja and Zahir and instead Rohit,Patel and Irfan to be selected.

Sachin's performance was better than Rohit Sharma (selected) and at par with Raina (selected). Neither of Rohit or Raina are new anymore. Why criticize only Sachin's selection?
please leave him to play his game,he will certainly do much better for Indian cricket,but at this stage burden him vice captaincy will add pressure on him or over confident and loose his quality

Again, Tendulkar has been selective about the ODI series he plays over the past couple of years.... who gave him the freedom to choose when to play and when not to? Do they give the same freedom to poor Laxman or any lesser mortal? On current form, Tendulkar, Jadeja, Sehwag, Rohit, Raina and Umesh do not deserve a place in the team at all. Now that given a chance, they may belt the attack on the flat sub continent pitches and get another lease of life. Thanks to the spineless selectors!

even dhoni has selective in some of tournaments and openly spoken on this. Though dhoni prefers IPL always....how can diff rule for dhoni then ?

Raina and umesh does. Robot needs few more chances as he is new and young. Also Laxman must be dropped from turbo test team. Other then that I agree with your comment.
