As I watched the game I perticularly felt that Dhoni's captaincy and his choice of players to bowl was good and he could demoralise Pakistan team. His choice of Nehra was good, Nehra was most economical in this game.Nehra hardly conceded some 3.5 runs per over. Also Yuvaraj was used to the hilt.He bowled all his overs eventhough in his bowling only sixers and fours were scored by Paki batsman.
Dhoni kept his cool and played his strategy. Munaf and Zaheer Khan combination was really good. Fielding was very professional. Sachin won the man of the match award and he praised Suresh Raina. That was correct. Raina had staying power and until the end he was playing well by adding those crucial 25 runs.
Paki players made a few mistakes. 1) fielding was dead poor. 2) they did not show any professionalism and lost their temper under pressure by playing a few negligent,careless shots. 3) The biggest mistake was after Haribhajan was out,Pak bowlers were careless,negligent and over confident as if the game was over. But after that only about 30 runs were added to the total. They should have stopped India at 230 but at the point of 230 Paki players did not show any desperation at all !!!!!

Nehra didnt bowled in Power play..Zaheer,munaf,yuvi bowled during powerplay..his figures will be different had he bowled in powerplay.Even Harbhajan is scared to bowl during POWERPLAY.

I did not agree with others who say dropping catches helps India’s win -Dropping catches is not Sachin’s fault, they do it get the result. - Winning from Pakistan is a pride for any Indian - He always played better against Pakistan in 5 encounters, the statistic show how brilliant player he is Year Runs Bowling 1992 54 10-0-37-1 1996 31 5-0-25-0 1999 45 2003 98 2011 85 5 matches with average of 62.6 and have 3 man of the match (1992,2003,2011) in 5 encounter with Pak in World Cup.

How would you explain the 85 runs he scored in yesterdays semi finals against Pak.
To me this 85 was the big difference which helped us win the game.

wht is great abt sachin..every one is having average of 45 and above 50 in odi and tests....many players are playing for 15-20 years of cricket..whats spl he did...if u take don bradman his avg is 99.67..his peers averages were only 58...we shld compare the peers only...

yesterdays batting by sachin was with fear. Any time u do comparison it should be apple to apple. You can play life long and create personal records.

It is not possible for most of the cricketers to play for 20 years of cricket at the highest level. Sachin's contribution has been praised by many personalities from many countries. Certainly, he is not GOD but he is a legend for sure.
This match looked like fixed. See the pattern of this match and you will realize this. 5 Lives for Sachin(4 drop catches 1 Stumping). One of the best bowler of this tournament, Umer Gul, went for plenty on the bowling track. One of the worst bowler of tournament "Ashish Nehra" was hero. One of the successful batman who won 4 MOM, Yuvraj Singh went for a first ball duck. Finally while chasing pak never tried to WIN. See the way they throwed their wickets or the way Misbah bated. All looked fixed for India. The way all the matches in this world cup went, this world cup is rigged.

India should replace Kohli wih Pathan. Pathan is a big match player and game changer. Only way India can beat SL is by batting them out as SL do not have hard hitters to chase a huge total. India can get 20-30 extra if Pathan fires. Kohli plays too many dot balls and slows down the run rate. He is not a stroke player to match other Indian batsman.

Final Match team Wasim Zafar Sachin Virendra Mohd Kaif Yuraj Dhoni Yusuf Irfan Munaf Zaheer Harbhajan.
Just rewind to 2007 WC..Australians really dominated the scene, as if they just kept saying "can you beat us" and the answer was no..who can fogrt the great 146 runs scored by Gilchrist against Vaas, Murali and Malinga in the final..real gems
And here we have a team which does not inspire confidence..many here may criticize..but tell me from these matches does this Team India inspire confidence in you to win WC..maybe may be not..they are shaky..batting the team's strength is faltering too much yesterday Pakistanis lost and hence we won, rather than being a thumping victory as spoken by many..the experts wern't convinced about the win...
So friends..I will say Lankans are tough task masters and really going to get after you..so you will have to play out your skins.. and there bowling is pretty hard, which many teams are scared..anyway 3 cheers for Team India..May the best team win..being an Indian I wish India should at least limp to victory

you are correct bhai... best team should win at the end of the day... but which is the best team? Srilanka? Their semi win was so shaky after they loss their first 2 wickets! their middle order is not thoroughly prepared to face an uphill task.. every team in this world cup have one or another weaknesses.. afterall the players are human!! they should have weaknesses.. Quarter final and semifinal of indian team were against high-performing teams, whereas Srilanka was not.. their opponents was weak English and weaker Newzealand.. We have got our way through to the final beating world champions Australia and Pakis.. So prepare for a dance in Saturday Evening.. I'm not forgetting the SL team always have a nick of confidence against India. Pray for our team... Bada Bhai...

Dear Bada Bhai, This Pakistan Team defeated the so called strong bowling and batting line up of Srilanka recently. So this is nothing but on a particular day who hold the nerve they will win the match, Yesterday our bowling and particularly fielding were very good so you have to take into account that fact also. I dont fear to say that we are not strong as the Australians were and everybody will agree this. It may take some more time becauz our players are dummy Gods here in our country and they have to devote a lot of time with their family and for ad shooting and attending various functions.

Both teams really fought hard to win the S/F game. Let me explain to you how ? Sachin knew if he scored a century India will loose, so what did he do. He gave Pakistan 6 easy chance. They also know if they get Sachin out cheaply India would win. So they gave him 6 lives including 4 drop catches a Stumping and LPW. Afridi being a Pathan lost his mind and took the catch 6th time around and alas that let to their downfall.

of the 48 centuries Sachin has scored in ODIs, India has went on to win 33 times, 2 times the match ended in a tie and 1 time N/R. So, what makes you think... India will lose if Sachin scores a centure?

Honestly, I admit it was my fault. I watched those games on tv. Whenever I watch games on TV, India loses. That is the reason I did not watched today, and we won!
