series win for england..!!!!
by sunil k on Jul 27, 2011 12:45 PM

at trentbridge they will do it...no chance for for team india.....since the pitches and conditions remain the same.....these are high quality sporting pitches supporting good bowling unit and quality test players, lack of quality pace bowlers and absense of reliable lower middle order will heart team india in this series.....ENG bowling is just too good....broad and anderson both capable of running through the indian middle order.....probably dhoni will get a mysterious injury and skip teat matches..!!!!
2-0 or 3-0 for ENG

videshi coaches in test or IPL will make sitting ducks of india
by D S on Jul 27, 2011 10:59 AM  | Hide replies

fitness of indian is of a very wrong kind. Not the sort that is needed for long haul.
zaheer is example of negligence of body conditioning and mis-advise.

we need indian coaches who are trained to be better than world coaches. the indian coaches(with desis and videshi non-cricket assistants) will have loyalty to india as well.

india can also hire videshi assitant coach for fitness from sports like baseball from nations like mexico, chile, japan, etc.

videshi looks are artificial, trott has now grown hair on his bald head like angrez captain.

the angrez beast is built by tactics by using videshi for every sports at lower or higher level(of their kind)
be it cricket or soccer or rugby or ...

india has sufficient cricket and soccer talent that we dont develop very well from young age.
amriki do the same with basketball.
deccan challengers had fielding coach from a baseball team.
zaheer replacement is R P singh as RP has lot of success with england before. Rohit should be bought back.
all those slamming IPL should be realistic, IPL cannot be compared with test.
ipl is only 4 overs or 5 per bowler. and there is lot of rest for body to recover after t20.
it is foolish to blame IPL for indian bowlers demise.
these are players with neglected fitness heavily dependent on wrong videshi advisors.
operation and treatment of zaheer in south-africa was a waste, maybe Singapore woould be better. same with sehwag.

know that capacity of videshi to poison mind of any videshi and deshi against desh to harm desh players knowingly or unknowingly is big.
automated DRS is made with that poison in mind.
How was umpire Assad begging the angrez players when they crossed the pitch to celebrate dismissal of harbhajan. he could not stop them.
so umpires are also beggars of angrez via ICC. while publicity and media is used to slam india being dominating by billion pound videsh spy agencies in every aspect.

what happened to Laxman and Dravid?
by Gopi on Jul 26, 2011 09:47 PM

Supposed to be known as Saviers! Did you see the way they got out? Most arrogant. Did those deliveries deserve wickets?

India doesn't deserve a win

Frankly speaking i hate to see draw matches after 5 days of play.It is better to c England win otherwise it would have been a drawn match because India had no chance of winning.I remeber a test match where India had to chase down a score near to 400 in the 4th innings against the same England team but Sehwag played a blinder innings and put pressure on England bowlers and Sachin and Yuvraj took full advantage of that.Only a team having a positive attitude deserve to win but India is lacking that and evidence of it was the last test against the WI where we compromised for a draw rather than winning the match

Yes, the approach was very negative and defeatist. England batted, bowled, and fielded better than India. Dhoni was busy insulting his team mate and his dead father in an ad. The players were unfit and tired. The coach and the captain were clueless on strategy. It's a failure on all corners for this team. They have undone the changes brought in by Kapil Dev, Saurav Ganguli, and MS Dhoni himself. You can tell that Gary Kirsten's tactical game plans were missing. Team selection and prep were thoughtless ... Mr. Dhoni, Making "different" did not work so are you going to make it "large" next game?

Throw-back to Pre-Kapil Era
by Arv Singh on Jul 26, 2011 07:40 PM

This test was a throw-back to the pre-Kapil era. The Indians were meek and defeatable right from the day one. Batsmen like Dravid and Laxman played for over an hour for 10 odd runs. Fielders dropped catches at random.

Gary Kirsten obviously understood the dynamics of the team better and got the most out of them. Fletcher is new and need more time to learn how to motivate the team.

Here are my observations from this test:

1. Poor selection by leaving out Yuvraj Singh and playing Abhinav Mukand. Was South Lobby responsible for this?

2. Playing unfit and injured players came back to hound Indians. The medics in the team and team management owns this mistake.

3. Lack of tactical strategy against Kevin Pieterson. Indian captain had no clue what to do when Kevin was in full flow.

4. Poor fielding - Dravid and Laxman dropped easy catches. Dhoni was lethargic behind the wickets. But the poor fielder of the test award goes to Abhinav Mukund.

5. Poor leadership by Dhoni. Releasing an ad mocking his senior player and his dead father before the test was in very poor taste. By bowling himself at the peak of english innings, Dhoni showed his casual approach and gave a message that he had already given up on this test.

6. Lack of motivation and determination by the team. With the exception of Dravid, VVS, Raina, Praveen and Sharma, rest of the team gave up too quickly. May be they were trying to follow their leader - Don't make it large, make it different - Dhoni

Meek and timid Tendulkar..
by Surya Prakash on Jul 26, 2011 05:13 PM  | Hide replies

More than losing the match what hurt me was the meek and timid way Sachin approached the game when batting yesterday. There were no big devils in the pitch and the English bowlers were neither menacing nor unplayable. Sachin had devils in his mind which ensured he failed. It is deeply embarassing and insulting that Sachin went without runs for 40 balls got almost out 3 times before falling plumb LBW to Anderson. Though it would be inappropriate to rate anyone on ONE INNINGS, Sachin proved that he is ordinary and lacks the grit and determination required when pushed to the wall or severely tested. For India, we lost the match the moment Dravid & Laxman were gone, though Raina saved some respect for us. Dhoni has been a colossal failure and Sachin let us down when it matters most. Would have been proud, if we had lost with GUNS BLAZING....Now Sachin's 100th century is of no consequence anymore since it did not come when it mattered most. Now for me, Sachin is not even no.10 batsman in the World, leave alone No.1. There are far better batsman who fight for their country's cause..

..I fully agree with you.if only he had been positive in his approach in the 2nd innings, India could have saved the game.if he keeps on sulking like this till he gets his hundred it is going to cost dear for India in the series.actually Zaheer and Sachin duo are primarily responsible for India losing the 1st test....

You idiots, there was no way to play for a win at that stage. If you expected any batsman to go aggressive in that position, you have no idea what batting is about. All you fools want to say is bad about schin, because you are so damn jealous. In your life, I am sure you are good for nothing, so, you are jealous of great people. I can only pity you.

Damodaran Mohan:

He played 68 deliveries. Didn't try to score a century.

Why we lost was becoz our last 5 batsmen couldn't put together show that tenacity...

...that is the problem.sachin should play freely for the team w/o thinking about century. it is just not possible for any cricketer to stand on the crease w/o scoring. he is bound to get out sooner than later.the fact of the matter is sachin is selfish and plays for himself and not for the team..he is going to be the biggest liability for the side in the series unless he gets his hundred quickly..

INDIA HAS TO WIN THE NEXT TEST
by damodaran mohan on Jul 26, 2011 04:20 PM

Now India is left with catch up job and will have to rework their strategy all over again which should include removing distractions like Zaheer’s fitness, Sachin’s 100th Hiundred and so on. These things are bound to rub on the morale of the team very badly. In regard to zaheer, best thing will be to seek replacement like RPsingh or some youngster to be groomed. Ishant Sharma will have to take the lead and bring in more variations in his bowling. Why can’t he bowl those deadly in-swinging Yorkers to tail enders ? PK has to bowl better length as he did on the 2nd day of 1st test. Bahjji is expected to do better in the ‘next’ spinner friendly wicket. In regard to Sachin’s 100th hundred, if he gets in the next Test, it will be a big relief otherwise ……. as seen , a sulking Sachin and his negative attitude shown in the 2nd innings, is going to pull down the team very badly in the series if his CENTURY is going to drag for long. The Indian think tank needs to do some plain speaking with him as this thing cannot be allowed to distract the team. Other changes ? Sri has to take Zaheer’s place. In case Bhajji needs spin support may be poor Mukund will have to make way for Yuvi.India has to win next and can certainly win considering that England were exposed in their 2nd innings.
