IPL - Yearly Kabbadi wala deal ..
by Narayan on Jan 09, 2011 01:01 PM  | Hide replies

In my village , a cattle & poultry fair is held every week - discounting prices on their breed based on the illness and physical fitness of the animal . IPL is just a glorified version , albiet this comes once a year.

IPL Cattle market ..

You have to come out of your village's well because you really know the logistics of a sporting league like IPL. Things like these happen in all major sporting leagues across the world every year.

Oh, btw, when you sit in the lounge for a job interview, do remember that you are in the cattle market too where interviewers determine your price based on your marks, intelligence and your usefulness to their organization.

You are not buying him and you don't have the financial ability to buy; so you are not the one to decide that.

He is already sold, that means he is worth that much.

Irfan apart, do you know how much you are worth?

It ain't a joke. Every team has a limit on the number of foreign players in a match, so a team must have certain number of Indian players.

It is not a surprise or joke that the 14 or 15 players that make it to the Indian cricket team get a higher price because 10 IPL franchises compete for these 14 or 15 players.

Jadeja is not a great player at the international level but his selection to the Indian team fetched him a good price for him because a franchise would prefer a player like Ravindra Jadeja to some unknown Indian player playing in Ranji Trophy or other local Indian tournaments. This is all played according to the IPL rules. Only those in it understand the rules and play accordingly. Don't be surprised or don't stress yourself much if you don't get it.

Forgotten IPL-3 Scandal
by ojama on Jan 09, 2011 12:46 PM

Before IPL-4 becomes the talk of the town, lets not forget that IPL-3 was scandal where so far no tangible action has been taken to book the culprits from BCCI and IPL governing Council. The only Nautanki BCCI did as charade was to ban Two IPL Franchises from IPL-4 only to be reinstated by Bombay High Court.

So in the name of cricket Crony capitalism is here to stay as no TV news channel is interested in taking up the IPL-3 mess, as they are all mesmerised by the spluge of illgotten money the Franchises have done on some few ordinary and mediocare players who can hardly make it to test side.

No one does ; we are paid for working.

In this case they are paid for playing . Do we play in company ? Similarly , non performers are exited mid way . Does IPL do that ? Kaam Karo varna kamse Kam play .. Gangu did neither and still wants a million .. he is not fit even 50 cents.

So what? SRK will mak his money through Fixing, just like he did in the previous editions...Dada was probably too 'honest' for him, and won KKR matches, that SRK wanted them to lose. SRK and his corrupt bunch of advisors are really happy.

Really? Do you trust your father, mother, brother or sister?

There are few bad incidents in cricket here and there. None forced you to watch. But don't spread negative atmosphere unless you know about it completely.

hello, how does it make a difference if people watch the matches or not? the major money is made by franchisees through spot fixing and match fixing...and that will continue whether or not you watch the game...it's better to watch the games, esp RR, Kings XI and B'lore, and if you are smart you will see how the fixing is being done.
