match
by Finix on Oct 05, 2010 04:12 PM  | Hide replies

laxman is the man under pressure.how many times he has done for india agnst australia??LAXMAN IS GOD FOR INDIA IN TESTS..
1)first at eden gardens
2)at adelaide 2004
3)at mumbai 2004
4)at perth 2008
5)at mohali 2010

And sehwag, sachin played reckless shots to put india in misery if those would have played sensibly india would have won far more easily and laxman's back would not have been tested severley.

you are right dear not only against australia but since from his very first test against south africa in1997 at ahmedabad he scored 51 runs highest in indian innings. also look last 10 years indian victory against any country laxman played crutial roll in victory .why to forget just 1 month bach indian victory against shri lanka when he scored century.

dude..i don't want to take credit away from lax but it's just luck India won this match. From the first ball of their partnership (lax Ishant) Lax kept taking run on the first ball and exposing ishant against aussies bowlers. Ishant could have been out any time but... So it's not just Lax's but Ishant'hard work we won today!

well the way sachin palyed to get out shows his temperament is no match to laxman..he has less vision in cricket in laxman simple point.i mean he got trapped like sehwag...how can he not decode australia's strategy after playing for 20 yrs and loads of experience agnst aussies.i would not blame him if would have got out to a magnificent delivery.

too much hype and no real stuff ... no doubt that he cannot play under pressure... he gets out on mediocre bowlers ... but he is a good batsmen without pressure... when match is going cool

If Sachin had scored even one run, there would be those like the ones below, who would say: It was a match winning knock. That one run was crucial to India's victory. Frankly it sickens me that people keep rating Sachin as a God and as such an invaluable batsman to the team. Every single media was writing home with the fact that the entire match depended on Sachin's "tender" shoulders. This is absolutely ridiculous. All the other players have gone for a vacation or what? What will it take for these so-called immature cricket fans to understand that the game doesn't begin and end with Sachin. That it was played long before he came, and will be played long after he is gone.
Well done, Laxman and Ishant

True.
He is a great batsman but has a weak mental makeup. Dravid and Laxman are much cooler and calmer.

VVS gets so little attention, yet he delivers, unlike SRT
by Oomshik Tooshik on Oct 05, 2010 04:12 PM  | Hide replies

SRT yet again failed to stand up to the challenge when needed. What's the use of that reputation, superstar, endless records when you never perform when needed. why say so and so didn't perform too - SRT's the so called great - yes? then why fail at crunch every time, all the time?

Look at VVS - unheralded, quiet, a fantastic player that has come through for India so many times. he stays on and ensures India wins or saves a game.

SRT - umpteen useless records and a blind fan following. True to form, these 'records' never come when India needs them to win.

Record after useless personal 'record'. Fawning adulating masses that cheer such achievements. SRT fanboys always take it personally. so personally, like his militia brigade. ---- he did all these useless runs and records on dead pitches, at home, and never ever when needed to win. ----
he's just like other selfish turds like SMG, RJS - his mentors and mutual admiration society members.

Look at the comments here for Tendulkar

'oh get a triple hundred. only that is missing'
'aim for a 400, beat Lara record'
'wish you get to 250 tests'
'well done please get to 20000 runs'
'praying for your 100 centuries'
'Hope you play for 5 more years'

Not a word abt winning games.
Typical of Tendulkar and his following. all they want is meaningless records. None of these glazed eyes is talking about winning matches, especially scores when needed

why it's that pressure time is only when Sachin gets out? Wonder if in 1st innings when he made 98 then that was as easy as playin in your backyard, no?

Sachin scored 98 in the first innings and Laxman scored 2. If sachin scored zero in his first innings wil india made this great win??.. So it's all team effort.. Ishant kept his effort by scoring the valueble runs and took the crucial wkts. Zaheer done his job. Raina, Sachin, Sehwag, Dravid, Laxamn evrybody kept their effort to made this.We dont hav right to talk/discuss about their(Laxman/Sachin) skills.

Sachin it's time to retire
by Sohail on Oct 05, 2010 04:09 PM  | Hide replies

Retire before the world cup ...

We need the world cup ODI and not your personal records...

You score 5000000 runs ... how many world cups have you won for India...

I will name few greats who have done it...

West Indies ... Clive Lloyd , Sobers , V Richards

Australia ... Alan border, Ricky ponting, Hayden , Gilchrist , Mcgrath, Beaven...

Pakistan ... Imran Khan , Wasim Akram , Inzy

Srilanka .... Sanath , Arvinda , Arjuna, Vaas

Where is India in this list... it's now 26 years we have won the world cup...

sachin 98 and 38 was good..but in such a tense match, you play till the end. but sachin couldnt handle the pressure. maybe its the age factor
