Sachin, failed to deliver again
by Rajan S on Oct 05, 2010 04:24 PM  | Hide replies

I had commented yesterday that laxman will be the key today. And i thought yesterday, that it would have been better for india, had dravid or sehwag was at the crease instead of scahin

Bcoz its not that i doubt the caliber of sachin, but i haven't seen him perform on pressure situations. I would have been more happy than anybody really, if he had proved me wrong. But that wasn't to be the case again

i think you guys want to see saching batting at 7-8th position and hit the winning runs... with that happening you will start to believe that sachin wins matches for india...

Its useless to doubt Sachin. He has performed when nobody has. I think why people say these sort of nonsense about him is ...whenever he performs he leaves no pressure and we know when he is around IMPOSSIBLE becomes I M POSSIBLE :-)
Though I respect everybody's views...I think he is GOD when it comes to playing cricket

plain jealousy
by Wanderlust on Oct 05, 2010 04:23 PM  | Hide replies

laxman truly deserves praise and some jealous fans cannot stand that.... what a shame... they make lame arguments rather than praising a true hero and most unselfish player in the squad... c'mon have some guts to give credit where its due

India rarely wins in close finish. But Dhoni has once again proved that he is a Lucky Captain .

Dhoni is an axxole..he never comes above in the batting order when the team is in trouble & takes resposibilty.
He only comes higher up the order only when the team the openers & top order batsman have laid a good foundation..

He is axxole to the core..

Everybody is ga ga over Laxman n Sachin, but to me HERO OF THE DAY WAS Ishant Sharma. He did what was not expected from him, Laxman did what he was supposed to do and Sachin DID NOT do what was expected from him.
And MS is loosing his touch as a batsman & not planning the way he should. offcourse LADY luck is by his side
in any case a WIN TO REMEMBER!

Those who abuse Sachin are mad...
by Tamil Arasan on Oct 05, 2010 04:22 PM  | Hide replies

People who abuse Sachin are crazy, because Sachin has scored 98 & 38 in this match, cricket is played by 11 players so Sachin created the platform for famous Indian win, where the Very Very Special Laxman excelled and finished the game for India....

they are not going to understand this... these guys want sachin who is batting at 4th in test and 2nd in ODIs to stay there till the end and win a match.... as said earlier, he should come out at 7-8th position and hit winning runs... with that guys will be ga ga over him saying that he wins the match for us... hahhaah

urs is a hopeless case mr piscean. Nobody is doubting his caliber, but we doubt his ability to perform in crunch situations. He again proved that, he is not up for such challenges

Pls stop saying rubbish . We are talking about performing when it matters. Not just one or two runs or the 14,000 odd runs scored by him

If Sachin had scored even one run, there would be those like the ones above, who would say: It was a match winning knock. That one run was crucial to India's victory. Frankly it sickens me that people keep rating Sachin as a God and as such an invaluable batsman to the team. Every single media was writing home with the fact that the entire match depended on Sachin's "tender" shoulders. This is absolutely ridiculous. All the other players have gone for a vacation or what? What will it take for these so-called immature cricket fans to understand that the game doesn't begin and end with Sachin. That it was played long before he came, and will be played long after he is gone.
Well done, Laxman and Ishant

Yes you are correct Ishant Sharma innings was a gem, i still remember the Chennai match where Manindher Singh got out where only one run needed for a famous win for India against strong Aussi team, unfortunately match got tied...but our current youngsters are different from the old days where our bowlers rarely scored runs...
