Do we need such 'caught in the act'
cricketers to play in India. To change his habit, perhaps SRK can send him a crate of lush Simla apples!

Gr8 anticipation by Modi
by statesman on Jan 31, 2010 09:54 PM  | Hide replies

Hats off to Lalit Modi for rejecting the Porkis for the IPL coz even before IPL-3 has started, typical Porki behaviors have started to come to the forefront - first, it was drug addict Mohd. Asif and now the ball baiter Afridi. Even the ICL had lots of matchfixing taint courtesy of Porki players like Imran Farhat, Naved Hasan Rana, etc.

Pakistan is a colorful nation with lots of colorful characters, including Afridi. So is entire North India, with colorful characters abound such as Mulayam, Lalu, Maya. However, rest of India is boring and dull and no one in the world finds rest of India interesting. Therefore, we Northies must use this campaign of Raj Thokru to our advantage by using this as an excuse to dissociate ourselves from rest of Indians, who set new dimensions for boredom. Pakis were wise to separate from India, and North India should follow the same path now...

Its funny when people don't look into their sleeves before pointing fingers at others.

As far as I remember, Muhammad Azharuddin was Banned from Cricket for lifetime because he was PROVEN to be involved in match-fixing. Never has such a disgrace come to a Pakistani player.

Though, I am disappointed at Shahid Afridi for what he did.

It should be noted however that I gave the example of Azharuddin only to demonstrate that we are not as different (from each other) as we like to think!

Then what were Salim Malik, Ata-ur-Rehman banned for? And who was that Pakistani captain who offered money to Allan Border to throw a match. When Border reported it, he tried to cover up by saying that was a joke.

ICC is communal
by statesman on Jan 31, 2010 09:50 PM  | Hide replies

The sickular brigade may well condemn the ICC for taking action against Afridi and call it communal. We may then see debates on 24x7 news channels on that and also opinion polls and SMS polls, all of which of course will be stage managed. Also, Lalit Modi too may have to cop the blame for conspiring against the Porkis and MMS will lose his sleep coz of the ban imposed on the ball biter.

PLEASE WELCOME THEM
by NIKHIL NATHAN on Jan 31, 2010 09:44 PM  | Hide replies

Please welcome these Pakistani players so that

1. We can show to the world that we are a mature democracy willing to Forgive and Forget.

2.To show to the world that we are Secular to the core.

3.To help Pakistani Players to make money so that they can pay taxes in their home country which will be indirectly used for killing Indians.

4.So that they will say Indians and Pakistanis are GRT friends when in India and as soon as they reach Pakistan say bad about the Majority Community here.(Sohail Tanvir).

5.So that Cricket diplomacy continues and can be made as a mode of cheating poor gullible Indian public.

6.For romantisising Indo-Pak Relationship.

and

Last but not the least for Pleasing the Psudo-Intelectuals like Kuldip Nayyar,Praful Bidwai,Shabana Azmi,Barkha Dutt,Rajdeep Sardesai etc etc.

SO PLEASE WELCOME THEM WITH OPEN HANDS.JAI HIND.

It must be part of their culture. I played a local game with Pakis in NY during a break a dude brought in sandpaper and did a number on the ball on one end. The good news is that we smashed them all around the ground even after that :-).
