china will win the gold in the very first edition, if at all cricket is allowed to be played. Aussies might win gold/silver, and any base ball playing nation might get bronze. . BCCI will never get any medal, and once all nations taste the blood of cricket, then in the cricket world cup china/aussies/US/Russia etc will hit us hard. .
Being an indian i can only pray we do well in hockey

Don't worry, they have no use for a game like cricket. All do not have the crazy mentality of us Indians.

If cricket gets recognised as Olympic sports, more europen nations, the american nations and more powerful asian countries will also compete. One should look at the history of Indian hockey. Indian cricket should not meet the same fate like hockey.
So I suggest BCCI should oppose this move. BCCI being the richest cricketing body in the world should influence the decision of ICC.

Why are you afraid of competition? I think it is Ok, if we compete with good cricketing nations and try to do our best. I think Cricket is not same as hockey.
