Indian officials in Australia have singled out state of Victoria to be the worst place for Indians.
It seems like the police and administration of Victoria have been the slowest in responding to the threats faced by Indians there.
Indians need to take care of themselves and force Australian central govt to talk to the victorian govt about why it is not taking this threat seriously? Are people of victoria racists?

Keeping to middle of the road, an item in "The Age" today reports that one "j.singh" from Essendon in Melbourne. burned his car and reported of "racial attack" on indians (in the bargain got burnt) and then put in an insurance claim for A%.11k (approx. Rs.5 lacs.). He is cooling his heels in a melbourne lock-up for fraud. It seems the ToI, Hindu etc. (who on the first available opportunity grabbed it and as usual sensationalised it. Result their paper on that day sold-out. Maybe they ran additional editions for whatever it was worth. Now these papers are retracting themselves saying that it is "one" instance and the ozzies are milking it to the maximum. See the double standards, I will milk it you cannot! The victorian police (they do not know the indian mind works) should put their crack detective to probe in detail on robberies and may turn out to be like our j.singh. That will solve most of the crimes. The murders could be out of ruthless necessity as the victim recognised the attackers who may be moving in the community shouting from "roof-tops".
