Modi's defence

Congis through CBI suddenly want Mayawati'sdisproportionate asset case to be withdrawn from Supreme Court. This si to balance if NCP leaves the alliance. CBI did not appeal against Lalu. If Lalith Modi starts upprting Congis all cases against him will be withdrawn. Just he has to name Narendra Modi and other BJP leaders whether they are involved or not.

Mr. Mallya had better keep his mouth shut.
by chanakya maurya on Apr 24, 2010 02:46 PM

Otherwise he could burn his own fingers.

His own skeletons might come under exposure.

And they are just not isolated or limited to the IPL.

There would be plenty of them.

Need a mass movement
by idzero on Apr 24, 2010 02:44 PM

Guys nothing will ever happen UNLESS we the people of India wake up. We must start by boycotting the IPL. And simultaneously we need to file a petition with the govt. of India who are themselves not clean ofcourse, but somehow we first need to cleanup this IPL rogues league. We need to start this movement, otherwise the govt and these unscrupulous creatures like Mallya will ensure that everything is pushed under the carpet and they continue to dupe the common people whose passion of cricket these guys are encashing through illegal means.

Cacophony of IPL
by pradeep kumar on Apr 24, 2010 02:43 PM

It seems all the government departments were sleeping since the formation of IPL be it Tax department FEMA and vigilance department. What they were doing all these year. It is sorry state of affair as far as the Indian democracy is concern .It seems we are in mobocracy where the media give their verdict with their own right. They have to survive on these fierce commercial competitions other wise they will doom in channel business of electronics media. All the time their so called reporter chasing to leaders and celebrity with begging microphone to these people and serving the news to people with lot of spice. BCCI president declare now that since last 2 years Modi has not given him the details of IPL this means he is utterly failed to discharge his duty as a president and morally he should resign from his post. If a person cannot issue a memo to his subordinate then he has no moral right to continue as a president.

Modi's chance to defend himself
by Sumith Thomas on Apr 24, 2010 02:41 PM  | Hide replies

Mr.Mallaya whats the point in giving Mr.Modi a chance to defend himself? Its being made clear by Mr. Pataudi that Modi makes all the decision unanimously even if there is a governing council. An individual is not above the governing council.
Regarding the Modi's claim of the chairman, I take this oppurtunity to bring to your notice that this IPL is not Mr.Modi's finding its the finding of Mr.Kapil Dev. Mr. Modi made this sporting event to an extravagenza where now huge amount of money flows in and out and he made it even worse by betting and match fixing. As far as the flow of the cash every one now knows how its going on.
If Mr.Modi is innocent and clean you suggest him to prove by resigning the chairmanship post. If his hands are clear then why he shloud worry himself.
