Dhoni started losing his cool during the IPL-II where chennai team could not defend hugs totals also..coupled by injuries to sehwag and Yuvraj...and out of form Ishant...he is loosing his midas touch
it is not merely the bowlers and batsmen who are figured out at the international level. all the teams study the captaincy patterns as well. what each captain, especially the successful ones do gets constantly scrutinised. even the fielders do get scanned. for last one year, dhoni has not done anything extraordinary as a captain. he has not innovated, has not done an upstream move, etc. zaheer was bowling great, viru and gambhir were going great guns. the middle order was solid and stable in tests. now all these are gone, dhoni stands exposed. but he is the good student of the game. he can still catch up. but what is against him is time. he is 29. rahul dravid was smart. when his pandora's box was about to get opened, he went one step ahead and resigned. they should appoint some one really young as captain as they did in sa with smith. but then india all cricketers are treated as gods. unless they are treated as humans and allow them to think, plan and execute, these things will keep happening. these kind of articles will also keep appearing in one form or the other.
no1. bhajji ( overated arrogant bowler) no.2 sachin ( never performed in icc since wc 2003 finals) no.3 dhoni ( lack of game plan and blaming bowlers) no.4. yuvi and viru for getting injured when india needs them.
I think Dhoni started well but now is coiling back. He as captain was credited with all the wins in past but now with all the failures he has started fault finding with team bowling etc n hv been sayin a lot abt it in media rather inspire his fast bowlers. As if he wants to say its not his fault. Even though key players are injured we still had a potentially good team with youngsters. We shud hv done better than first round exit (with Dhonis so called extraordinary captaincy skills). Lets not allow Dhoni to settle for ordinary with little wins here and there.
I you will see that in none of the sports we can see indian sportsman doing consistent performance exception to few like in Lawn Tennis -Sania, Badminton - Saina, Boxing - Vijendra, hockey exception to Leander Paes in Lawn Tennis, V.Anand in Chess, P.Advani in billards etc etc. This is all b'coz they are getting immense popularity even after 1 major win. They get huge sum for ads. If they can earn so much money without playing why will they bother to play for INDIA. Its all b'coz you fools make them heroes and they dont play their natural game. One common thing in Indians they crib like weather was not good, not enough practice b'coz Govt didnt done any favour etc etc. They should learn from African countries. They all shine in major athletics in spite of no govt help because there is will to excel not like us. I find Indians the "LAZIEST CREATURES IN THE WHOLE CONTINENT"

If Cricket Board cares for every Indian's choice of players then there won't be an Indian team.
JUST BY LOSING A MATCH without the three matchwinning players - Sehwag, Yuvi and Zaheer Khan, does not mean that all of a sudden our team is no good. It's just bad luck that we couldnot field a balanced and strong combination. And when our over-worshipped star like Sachin Tendulkar guides a ball behind the stumps, early in the innings, pressure is bound to be felt down the order and that's what happened. Barring Dravid, and to some extent Suresh Raina, all others failed to rise to the occasion. That's just part of a game. Don't just write them off.

If u treat dhoni as a failure, then SA captain smith is also failure. Srilanka jayawardene too has to be considered failure.

You are right. If that is the yardstick then no Indian captain is world class. Only the Australians like Ponting, Steve Waugh and West Indians like Clive Lloyd are the best. All Indian captains till date have been made heroes due to just one series win or tournament win. Nobody has been consistent in winning continuously for more than a year.
Sports is not rocket science, u have to take both victory and defeat in your stride. Remember the opposition too is as good a team or even better than yours.
