by Mukul Kapur on May 09, 2009 10:31 AM  | Hide replies

Hey guys, Its IPL goin on. Any team winning or loosing is a win or loss for India. Why you all are splitting each other. We all are one.
Enjoy the game to fullest & keep regoinalism aside.
Even if you have your favourite team losing don't take it on your heart because the winning team is also India's.

MIs defeat
by biswanath roy on May 09, 2009 10:08 AM  | Hide replies

sachin is to be blamed for MI's yesterday defeat. he had no business to drop jayasurya, one of the most destructive openers in the IPL.his replacement ronchi had not played a single match earlier, & bringing him in such a crucial match for the MI's was wrong. secondly promoting duminy to open was also not correct,& with his perishment in the first over MI's were out of the match .duminy is the mainstay of MI batting, sacrificing him MI paid the penalty.moreover sachin had opened in all of MI's previous matches,as to why he held himself back is not understood.sachin does not have big shots, is more of a technically correct player who times & places the ball, thus he is more useful in the first 6 overs when there are field restrictions. big hitters are absent in the MI side, like yusuf pathan, dhoni, irfan, jadeja, suman, etc in the other sides. this also is a negative factor for MI.
the one over sachin bowled he gave the match on a platter to DDL.it appears sachin hardly bowls in the nets otherwise he would not have bowled so many full tosses or short ones, which devilliers promptly dispatched to the ropes.it is quite clear that sachin, ganguly, dravid, kaif, laxman, etc are not cutout for 20-20 cricket, good they have decided not to participate in india's international outings.

exactly.....i don't understand few things what these captains are upto....Even mccullum who is not striking the ball cleanly has to show way for mortaza....there is no use in having a non performing captain in the team...

Borrowed players
by great maratha on May 09, 2009 09:46 AM  | Hide replies

Only Sachin is a genuine Mumbai player. All these borrowed players have brought disgrace to the great Mumbai cricket history.Even a Mumbai B side is capable of beating Delhi.Mumbai are 38 time Ranji champs and are capable of beating international sides.Australia and England have suffered defeat at the hands of Mumbai.I think name of Mumbai Indians should be changed to popatwadi Indians so that Mumbai cricket is not disgraced.

We can only expect such comments from Marathi Manush. Always bring regionalism and racism into each and everything. Don't forget you national team is having maximum players from North India and they are definitely not Marathi Manush.

Dear DeepakI think you havent overcome the Raj hangover.Inever spoke of Marathi manus.Yes but cricket is very close to the heart of all mumbaikers and it hurts when likes of Bravo,Bhajji and Jayasuriya bring disrepute to the great mumbai cricket tradition.

All the dhonis ..bhajjis ..the yuvis have come now in the limelight..sachin is there ..holding the flag for indian cricket since 20 yrs and stil goin strong !

SAchin is the true ambassador for Indian Cricket ..The cricket which is enjoying all the publicity and .. the fame in recent yrs .. sachin has contributed a lot to that Brand India Image ..dont forget that !!

sachin MUST open with sanath and must show confidence
by baiju velayudhan on May 09, 2009 09:38 AM  | Hide replies

sachin must open with sanath without too much experimenting in batting order. just wait for the bad ball and i am sure you both will be back in form.
its a matter of time, selectors should not put too much pressure on sachin and let him play his natural game. mumbai indians should play smartly to its potential without bothering too mush murmer if they want to succeed.
cheers,
baiju
