It is surprising that rediff even picks up stories like these. This is clearly a planted story by some vested interested party.Lalit Modi has gone on record not once but many times that all doors are closed for Pakistan players. How can this be a possibility as frachises are trying to look to cut costs as travelling abroad brings added burden. Moreover all teams have already filled up their foreign players quota. And frankly why should India even bother about Pakistan or anything to do with Pakistan after what these people do to us!!! Kindly take this story off ...
It is astonishing that they are even thinking of fielding Pak players. Present day Pak cricketers neither have the star value of their predecessors nor known to be crowd pullers. Wonder what prompted the franchises to think of calling them up. Most insensitive of them particularly when it is increasingly becoming clear that it is the Pak society as a whole that was involved in the massacre of Indians. As someone said 'boycott this IPL'

Kolkatta knight rider's have 7 Pakistani players and 2 Bangladeshi players out of 16 which means 9 players of Pakistan compared to only 5 from Kolkatta.
Kolkatta and their citizens should hang their heads in shame.
Now Brendon Macullum is being made as captain rather than Saurav Ganguly spit on SRK.
Kolkatta people should now recolt and kick SRK out of Kolkatta if they have ba-lls or else just f.k off and allow Kolkatta to bcome another Bangladesh :-)

I personally do not support KKR spending on Mortaza where much better choices were available, KKR had 3 Paksitani players Butt, Gul and Akhtar. KKR has a roster of all total 56 players, most of them are Indians.
