EARLIER THERE USED TO BE SEHWAG WHO WOULD PLAY HIS SHOTS AND GET OUT NOWADAYS FROM 1 TO 7 EVEN 8 THERE ARE PLAYERS WHO CAN CLEAR BOUNDARIES ALMOST AT WILL THIS TEAM IF GROOMED WELL WOULD BE A KICKAZZ TEAM FOR THE FUTURE
Sachin has had a good series against NZ and he should retire and get out in style when he still can, if not, he will be another K Dev taking away valuable time from youngsters
Look how the people's views about Sachin have changed with this knock. When he was having a dry patch everyone was saying he should retire. and now suddenly they have changed. These people can't ever learn the meaning of being a great. And rightly said Sachin is truly an evergreen batsman

Very soon he will be dev anand of indian cricket..nobody will want to see him then..right now he is a poor shadow of what used to be... he will continue blocking a new player as long as he can walk

He is a force to be reckoned with in the team. His very presence makes a lot of difference. You will understand slowly.

Dude, I am not sure if you understand that humans are mortals. So is sachin (or btw Dev Anand). He is the seniormost player in todays cricket(the only other player who comes close is Sanath Jayasuriya) and he is bound to have limits. But if you can remember, last year we won the CB series only because of Sachin.

Sachin is playinf exceptional cricket even now....any shots of his past repertoire tht're missing, r becase of the role given to him in team, that of a sheet anchor.....
There's no new player who can play as good as Sachin even now.....
And he can't just walk....he's good in fieding and excellent in running b/w wickets......
The day he feels he isn't doing justice to his position in team, he'll be the first to leave....

I think he should retire in the near future because his body is not holding up and plus he has to make way some day. If a person has to retire hurt in NZ where the weather is so conducive, imagine what will happen in India. He has not lost his talent, but its time to take a call.

Sachin has no need to retire..... His body is quite fit...pls rmember he played a very long innings in yesterday's match.....and his retiring hurt had nothing to do wth NZ weather, but because of a bowl hitting him in rib cage.....he cudve been selfish and stayed on to make 200.....but he retired hurts as he didnt wanted new fresh person to hve a go at the bowling and also coz he didnt want to aggravate the minor injury further.....
Also, he wasnt having problem wth batting, but ws feeling paing whicle running b/w wickets....

well read his statement again ...................he did not retire because of the weather but because of the injury he receieved in last innings and then again after scoring 160 if he retire hurt in every match after hitting a century then its worth it.....

He is only play for himself. He enjoy game for him not for india. Every match he made big score, india struggle to win or loss the match. He is blocking new comer and also overruling on team with his politics. He also kick off ganguly earlier.

Sachin plays fr country not fr himslf....If he'd been selfish thn he wudve stayed on to make 200 in yesterday's.....but he retired hurt as so tht new fresh batsman to hve a go at the bowling adn India cud get higher score....

Dude u r preaching to the converted and people will short term memories, people come here with a thought firmly fixed that he should retire and they listen to nobody.
Blog sites seem contaminated by a huge no of Cricket Illiterates. None of them ever heard about anything about cricket and blogs here for time pass.
It does not matter what such CI says, Sachin will continue delivering unbelievable innings. When some one becomes a perfect master of batting, his every inning appears to be the best among all innings in the history of cricket and seems better than his last.
I don’t want to label the bashers here as Short term Memory Loss because Sachin’s innings are so mesmerising that after seeing such an inning, everyone is bound to forget everything else.
I have a request. Please don’t present any stat to prove sachins success. He himself is the stat. The people who don’t understand this, don’t understand numbers and stat. They are completely fool.

I agree with you Inca. Just look at some of the mindless responses in the adjacent message- 'Change of Mind' where some people insist that Sachin should retire even when he played magnificently and came close to a doube century. It is a shame that a great player gets criticized even when he gives his best for his team.
Re: Re: To all CI committing nuisance here

Well said....Can't c why people need to unnecessarily criticise Sachin.....
I first saw Sachin playing in 1994 in Auckland along with my father, who was then in NZ.I had the fortune of seeing him playing again in this match along with my husband. There is no difference from the way he played as a 23 year old and now as a 36 year old. This knock ws easily the greatest surpassing the sharjah knocks aghainst Aus and the last years knocks against Aus in the CB series. The only other knock that can be compared is his 97 against pakistan in the S.frica world cup of 2003.
We only hope he continues with his great form. I wish he was included in tghe T 20 games. His presence itself in the team would have put fear in the oppositions mind.
