Sachin should play till 2015
by nisha thoas on Mar 09, 2009 10:09 AM

Sachin is the greatest player world has ever seen, so even if India dosent win 2011 WC, then 2015 should be another chance for him to get the only missing trophy from his cabinet. Lara, waugh,de silva are nothing compared to SACHIN the GOD

Why is there such an animosity against the greatest player of all time (barring the Don)? Why is it taboo for Sachin to play when he is only 35 when Jayasuriya can play at 39? Do the best of musicians retire? Do politicians retire? Do heads of companies retire before 60? Arre, this guy is a genius, a huge bundle of talent. And above all, he is a gentleman, a man with outstanding humility. Cricket needs more Sachin Tendulkars. May he bat on and on and on till he ON HIS OWN calls it a day. Enough of pressures on him to retire. Even today, after 415 ODIs, he is still amongst the best players in the world. And you guys want him to stop playing cricket? I just cannot understand this sentiment....

Seriously well said man. Its a pity that Sachin was born in this stupid country. He should have been born in a more deserving country like Australia or some.
Atleast the Australians don't criticize their cricketeers even when they perform.
Sachin has spoilt us to be honest --- remember the days when all that we used to pray was not to lose badly against all teams. this guy ( Sachin) comes along , singlehandedly pulls india from rock bottom to a cricket powerhouse, Inspires millions and electrifies everyone, inspires the budding cricketeers to scale new heights and what we give to him ?

GOD INDIA SUCKS ... we deserve to be treated as third class citizens in developed countries.

We are like DOG jaat , dog bites dog

When Ganguly was there we were like playing with 10 players team and one big hole.

That is making huge difference.

This is a befitting reply to the ICC for keeping him above the 20th rank in the all time achievement cricketers.

The ICC and its rankings! Any poll taken including the entire world will rank Sachin as Numero Uno today and till the time he plays cricket.
The ICC should bow its head in shame. Sachin is far far far bigger than ICC or any other cricket body - these guys only sit in air conditioned offices and speak - it is Sachin who PERFORMS.

Newzealand Bowling
by great maratha on Mar 09, 2009 09:14 AM  | Hide replies

Newzealand bowling is club level. Our batting was equally good when we toured NZ in 2003 but with the likes of Bond,Cairns and Deon Nash around we lost the test series 2-0 and the one day series 5-2.The present day NZ attack is equivalent to Saurashtra bowling attack.Has Shane Bond retired?

Our batting was good in 2003 NZ tour, but at that time the pitches there were of totally different variety....The conditions were so averse to batting, that even NZ batsmen had difficulty coming to terms with the same.....The presence of an in-form Bond was also a definite plus for NZ team, in those bowling friendly conditions......

For your information Nash and Cairns did not play in that series. As far as Bond is concerned, he is part of ICL and hence not in NZ team.

yeah present bowling of new zealand is bad , they just have 2 bowlers in top 10 ODI list. Vettori -#1 and Mills -#4

You are so stupid its almost unbelievable ---- You do realise that we don't even have 1 bowler in top 10 list ?

Saching has aged

Sachin must have aged a lot to have lost his memory or common senses. It is always desirable to be consistent rather than be like a flash in the pan. It is time he retires from the game.

Sachin can play good knowkcs like yesterday and also play them consistently....Go and check his average dude....To retain such a good batting average fr around 20 years is something which other cricketers cn only dream abt.....Above post smacks of ignorance and fanatical support of a previous Indian player called Saurabh Ganguly....

After reading your comments and knowing your impressive knowledge about teat cricket, I am surprised ,how we missed your name in the list of Test Cricket players representing India.
By the way, have you ever played a ball at least in a first class criket match ?
I admire your guts ,to advise Sachin on what he sould do , simply great.By the way , were you instrumental behind Saurav Ganguli's retirement ? ICC is missing a great adviser in you , you may try your luck by applying for "Honourary Adviser" to BCCI Selection Committee .Being a Ganguli name attached to you , there are great chances.
Best Luck Babu !!!

Consistency? Who is sayin sachin is not? He played well when we went australia, when they came to india and with england also. In Srilanka he played 3 games and was out for bad umpiring decisions. In NZ, in 1st match he hit a 20, in second, a fifty and in 3rd, a century. What more can u expect from a batsman? A century in each and every game? Come on buddy!

Agree with Viswa fully. It is actually foolish to even attempt to try to prove anything about Sachin. He is cricket's greatest player, and the game's best statesman. He is a rarity, a once in a lifetime type of player/person. He's the Einstein / Mozart of cricket.

Best Batting Line .... pffffttttttttttttttttt
by saurabh on Mar 09, 2009 09:06 AM  | Hide replies

Ofc it wud be the best batting line up considering the runs they score and the way they score them...
but just look through the current cricket teams you would notice there aren't any quality fast bowlers around...bowling machines offer more variety then most of the fast bowlers today...
NZ hav one experienced bowler and tht too Kyle mills.... except for Flintoff and Steyn I don't see a consistent fast bowler around...
Great time for batsmans across the world....
Though Sachin has scored runs against the best of the best...

well..if we can say India got the best bowling at the current time..there is nothin more to add... :)

I agree with above post......the current batting line-up is quite positive and attacking as compared to the previous ones...but these players haven't had to face good quality bowlers of past times, which Sachin has faced....

So ye, they're playing well.....but can't say how they would have fared against likes of Glenn Mc Grath, Shane Warne, Wasim Akram, Donald, Shane Bond, Courtney Walsh, Curtly Ambrose etc when they were in their prime.....
