useless people!
by amit singh on Jun 29, 2009 05:27 PM  | Hide replies

bcoz of some strange reasons, people always start blaming MSD. NO MATTER IF HE PERFORMS OR NOT. Cummon after all, we have got so many achievements under his captaincy. we need to support him if the team is going thru lean patches.

Words from the Master...A small story
by srinivasan krishnan on Jun 29, 2009 05:19 PM

One man was part of a music group that gave live shows all over the world.
In one particular stage performance, he decided to wear a particular black
wig for a few songs and a red wig for other songs.

He alternated the wigs and finished the first half of the program.
During the intermission, the show director came up to him in the dressing
room and told him, “Sir, you would have to wear only the red wig for the
remaining part of the show.”

The man was surprised and asked him why.
The director replied, “The people like the red haired one’s voice a lot
better than the black haired one’s!”
(Laughter!)

We are so busy comparing all the time that we never see things as they
are! Our mind is so caught up in comparison that it misses the actual
quality of what it sees. We need to drop the comparing attitude to be able
to see things as they are.

winning the series is important
by sai krishna on Jun 29, 2009 05:11 PM  | Hide replies

Except Yuvraj and Dhoni nobody interested in winning it appears in West Indies. Ravindra Jadeja is a total failure. If Dhoni reallly wants to win this series he should drop Rohit Sharma and bring Badrinath then drop Ravindra Jadeja and bring Abhishek Nayyar in his place. Rohit Sharma seems to have all strokes in the world but never performs. Ravindra Jadeja is total waste. After his 20-20 debacle he should not have been picked at all for this one day series. Why Virat Kohli was not picked ? Srikkant should explain it.

India could not have even played out 20 overs!
He saved us from embarassment and people are hell bent on accusing him!
I challenge all critics to list even one cricketer who has successfully carried out the roles of wicket keeping, batting and captaining the side successfully for this long period!

but dont forget even if he made 95 , it was his decision to pick jadeja & rohit indtead of badri & nayar or vijai,& every time he will not be lucky to bat througuh the 50 overs, so he should pick good players too & drop non performers,
what ego problem he has what he wants to prove by picking jadeja again & again.its not good for jadeja too he is young give him some time

oops! u r talking like an idiot..you think a two people who have not played more than 10 ODI between them would be saviour of India in this tour and Dhoni should drop Rohit for them??? any logical reason for that...Pls don't go by Ranji records...i think Rohit also has pretty enviable one!

Boss, if badri is picked he might not get out, but he wd also not score quickly either, which hardly helps in ODI. Badri needs to improve his stroke play before he can be selected for ODI.

Amit,I agree that dhoni is one of the best captains india has ever seen...but every person looses his enigma at some phase of life.If u remember..we had all praises for Ganguly as a captain..when he was at his best and then what happened is history.
The point is that if he is tired,he must take a break..if the team given to him is not proper, he should talk about that. But when you have the responsibility of a 15 member team of a 1.5 billion nation, you should be good enough to handle that. U say ..why rohit sharma/jadeja is playing in indian 11...do they deserve it.Why cant u play uttapa/badrinath/nayar instead of the above 2. Its not about being good/bad/best...its about being correct according to the situations

its not about losing enigma...if for some reasons the top players are unavailable, others are out of form and few are not performing doesn't mean that the team needs an overhaul...we have just lost one match in this series...it is not a series drubbing as in the past...show faith there are bound to be some changes!

Bad display and poor team selection
by vaibhav joshi on Jun 29, 2009 04:53 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni must have by now realized that whats his team without sachin and viru.Gambhir and Rohit Sharma continue there poor run.Even on WI pitches where u need to have a good batting, dhoni is playing with 4 specialist batsman (excluding him). Dhoni..please use uroptions, u have not taken them there to sit on the bench..please use slow medium pacer like Nayar..he can become a better allrounder then jadega/pathan. With the current players available, i think dhoni should go with the following team for the next game
Dinesh Kartik
Murali Vijay
Badrinath
Yuvraj
Dhoni
Abhishek Nayar
Yusuf/Jadeja
Bhajji
Praveen
R.P.
Nehra

Bring Gambhir/Sharma in the 4th game,if this combination doesnt work...otherwise make them sit in the bench
