Kambli was an excellent player during the early nineties. One cannot forget the combos Kambli and tendulkar in the early test matches. BCCI sidelined Kambli on frivolous allegations and racial discriminations.

You may level any other allegation against the BCCI - but not racial discrimination. Moreover, Kambli could not capitalise on the chances that he got, though he was a talented player.
Vinod kambli was an extremely talented batsman. But, unfortunately, he did not do justice to his talent, and wasted the opportunities that came his way.
If he had showed determination and discipline, he could have been the best left-handed batsman of India - a position currently enjoyed by Sourav!
But now, it is unfair for him to lay blame on anyone else, because he squandered the chances that he got.

EXCELLENT COMMENT. Kambli should blame himself for his indiscipline and behaviour. Due to his clout and friendship with Sachin many other deserving youngsters could not get a chance to play for India.
