Right time ? Do you mean to say Hayden had any other choice other than to retire. At the age of 37 he was failing match after match.

Don't comment like a layman. I know you are frustrated with the latest developments and are desperate about your idol's survival.
These are the players we enjoyed watching the most. a) Brian Lara b) Inzamamul Haque c) Waquar younis d) Adam Gilchrist e) Saurav Ganguli, f) Glen Mc Grath g) Wasim Akram International cricket will be lesser without these players. It will look like galli cricket when more legends walk off the field - Tendulkar, Dravid, Ponting, Sehwag, Flintoff, Collingwood... Watching Australia play will never be the same again. I salute you Hayden. You were a batsman I feared would change the course of the game everytimg I saw you walk up to the stumps. You played great cricket sit. Hats off to you.
Bowlers around the world and spectators from India (like me) can breathe easy now. Haydos was the the most frightening figure in the batting crease. Very dangerous and attacking, dominating opener and a close second to our own Veeru Sehwag.

He faked his age to retire early. Who wants to play cricket all round the year when u can make 5 times the money for 3 weeks in IPL...Smart guy

Thats because he is a FIT Aussie cricketer. Our players at 37 will run like Grandmas. Example Ganguly, Kumble etc.

I disgaree Sai, we have had even greater legends than Hayden. Sachin, Saurav, Kumble are all time greats, comments like 'grandmas' might be kinda disrespect.

Just because you don't like Aussies, it does not mean that Hayden was not great. Let us remember, with Tendulkar, the so-called greatest batsman of all times, India has not succeeded in winning the World Cup.
