Return of the dragon

It is a great pride to see Dravid returning to the cricket front. It shows that experience and maturity rules the growth and potential of an individual. It is not pride or ego helps a person to come up but only simplicity and honesty wins in the end. Good Luck and cheer to Dravid. Prove your worth and show the world your capability and talent.

Ganguly was a better one day player than Dravid. He was forced to retire by BCCI. Now Dravid comes back to the so called young team India. Bring back Dodda Ganesh, Shiv Sundar Das, Balaji also...!!!!

Rahul dravid,s inclusion Satish Tikekar

Whether young or old, the Country has to field its best player and Dravid is one. its not his fault if the younger ones regularly fail. Perhaps they have performed bettr at a level where money counted than the national pride.

S.ramesh had no technique, which was very well showcased by wasim akram and allan mullaly in 1999 world cup in england when he was even unable to touch a single ball of an over from akram. such a pity on an so called classy opener. Balaji was good in his days, now he trying to regain his pace and rhythym, once he gets it back, he shud be considered.

Dravid is the best Indian batsam in terms of contributions
by jeevan on Aug 17, 2009 05:48 PM

in the last decade 1995 -2005. That ravi shashtri, gavaskar and many others have openly acknowledged.. So, he deserves a chance and a platform to go on his own terms. I would like to see a direct competition between Sachin and dravid.. Whoever is contributing on a given day, should be selected in a round robbin way.. Dhoni, yuvraj and sehwag should have their own competion among themselves. then raina/rohit and badrinath should have a fight for specific spots. currently raina has won that spot..

The youngsters should surely take this opportunity to learn from Dravid the tchnical aspect of the game, and how to keep their feet on the ground - rather than encashing on IPL monies. Dravid can retire gracefully post Champions.

Great Move
by Amit Bhatnagar on Aug 17, 2009 05:46 PM

i am not a big admirer of Dravid, but undoubted he is one the best and the youngsters should be taught a lesson, they come in the indian squad after a couple of good perfomances and think that no one can replace them(e.g.-Rohit Sharma,Robin Uthhappa,Virat Kohli). They have potential, but not descipline. Dravid has enough left in him and who knows he can win second trophy in this world cup edition.Sachin is undoubtedly the best ever, but he also needs some good support at the top and none other than dravid is the best bet for the same. What the hell age is going to do with class. sachin is aged but still, opposition dream to take his wicket. Ricky ponting is almost aged near to these, but CA does not drop him. Dravid had a lean patch and now back with a bang. i welcome selector's decision and appreciate their courage to select him against all odds. hats off to Srikanth and company. Good luck for india.

Let so called youngsters sort their techniques first and let them make some runs in domestic cricket before playing ODI's again..
