Sachin thy name is charity??
by Guru Tugginmypudha on Apr 20, 2009 11:27 AM  | Hide replies

Sachin plays for love of the game, great intention from a great man.

Sachin you would be greater if you could give all your earning to charities after deducting expenses. Will our great sachin do that?

Tendulkar sponsors 200 underprivileged children every year through Apnalaya, a Mumbai-based NGO associated with his mother-in-law, Annaben Mehta. He is reluctant to speak about his charitable activities[citation needed], choosing to preserve the sanctity of his personal life despite the media interest in him.[citation needed]

Hey Philo cricket is a team sport, everyone in the team should contribute and shine in the right moment to win a world cup.And who are you calling a loser, what have you achieved in your field or profession? Sachin is one of the best cricketers in the world and his contribution to indian cricket team is inspiring and invaluable.

You are a sick person. A world cup can not be won by a single player. Remember that in 2003 we reached the world cup final and Tendulkar was Man of the Series in that torunament. In 1996 tendulkar was the highest run getter in the tournament. Check the history before you make any stupid comment.

The Fab 4 of India are among the ledgends of cricket
by deepak supugade on Apr 20, 2009 11:21 AM  | Hide replies

I believe that Fab 4 of Indian cricket team is unbeatable. No matter who tells what about them, no matter if they are not performing at present, but they also have a contribution to bring the Indian cricket team on top of the charts.

I still belive that Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly should be playing the ODI World Cup. Cause in the kind of form Indian team going through, they could reach to the higher league. But they need experience to win the bigger matches against the top teams.

Ganguly chased a ball well outside his offstump to be caught in slip, when his team was in dire straits.

VVS Laxman tried to take a non-existent single, when the asking rate was just about 5 and his team had all the time in the world to achieve it, running (fortunately) himself out in the process (instead of Gibbs).

We know that Dravid and Sachin do come up with the kind of innings they played on Saturday, once in a blue moon.

Do you still think the Fab4 should be in the ODI WC 2011? If so, why not include Kumble also?

Yuvraj and Dhoni need to be thrown out of the team. We have all seen the performance of Yuvraj in NZ. He will score once a year and will be back in his hotel room with his gfs (Raddison Delhi). Dhoni is too busy endorsing and enjoying his teams win, where his own contribution is negligible.
With these two loosers in team India can only dream of winning 2011 world cup.

Who among the new young guns delivered in their first matches. none What happened to Yuvi, What was Mahi doing What about Uttapa shot selection was one of the disgusting selection on that situation when Peterson was on the other side. What Shewag did in the second inning of the 2nd test.

But I dont say that the young guns are not tallented they are but they dont have experience to play according to the situation.

And about the big guns. I guess Sachin has been awarded the maximum number of Man of the match and I guess that describe all about the Little Champ.

And last but not the least, Brian Lara himself told that the game requires Class. The strock the batsmen plays has to be elegent and techniqually perfect and not a bang bang (Trying to play on the offside and the ball goes to square leg.....)

Pleople like to dislike Sachin; coz there is a famous feeling of hating the most successful to make one's point. But guys b4 u comment on any one think once, where do u stand? what is ur capability?
If Sachin is making money he is making it coz he has talent. If u have any, use it and am sure u wont say NO to money. Anyways people say things just out of frustration that they cant be successful. So instead of criticising others, think about urself and try to succeed in ur own life.

Yours is the first message my friend.

Anyway, all cricket players are agents of MNC Consumer, finance and luxury product companies who use cricketers players to sell their overpriced and low quality products to Indian public. They pay exorbitant money to these cricketers to be their agents in this third world country where people blindly buy their junk products because their favorite cricketer endorses it. Tendulkar is the biggest agent of Cheat companies like Aviva, RBS, Canon, Pepsi(Pesti Cola). Now he is endorsing a Big cheat construction company Japypee who have a history of big scandals.

Tendulkar is playing cricket because of these companies and his performance is stage managed. His Non performance will impact the market of these companies. In the IPL first match, Hayden easily dropped him to have a good score.

Cricketers play only for one thing - Money. Thats why Dhoni and Bhajji chose to attend shooting of a commercial when they were supposed to be in Rashtrapati bhawan to receive Padma Awards. Because value of such awards is nothing compared to several crores they earn through commercials.

What say?

I am neither a blind fan nor a blind basher of Sachin. I consider myself a true lover of sports in general and cricket in particular.

I have a few questions:

1. Sachin says seniors are not out to prove anything. Have they formed an association of the seniors and elected Sachin their official spokesman?

2. Very often in India, people like film stars and politicians say something while they mean the exact opposite (E.g.: Rahul Gandhi - "It is not important whether I am the PM"; Priyanka: "I will not enter politics".). Has Sachin entered the club of these illustrious guys when he says he is not hankering for a place in the India T20 WC team?

3. What should be the criteria for a player to continue in the team? Whether HE enjoys playing or SPECTATORS enjoy his game?

4. Has he given vent to some of his deep-rooted feelings too early, after just winning one match in IPL-2? Could he have waited, say until atleast MI was likely to reach the semifinals?

Time will reply to these. Meanwhile opinionated views are not unwelcome here.

Why he does not have the guts to say that he plays for the powerful sponsors who rule the cricket world and manage his place in team and his innings in the matches.

He plays for his sponsors. No cricketer plays for the country. Its a private team of a business corporate BCCI and has no relation with the country's sport.

Private company BCCI and its contractors "Cricketers" are money making machines like any private sector company in India, nothing else.
