Sachin's remarks
by SR Hari on Apr 20, 2009 11:37 AM  | Hide replies

As usual, there will be millions who would agree with Sachin's comments and hundreds to criticize him. I don't understand whats the problem for these hundreds of those who criticize him if he plays, scores for the team. OK, let him play for money, for records. Hasn't he delivered? If he doesn't, I am sure he would go himself out or he will be dropped. So be it. We saw so many being given enough rope but not proving themselves. Take the case of the Kaifs, the Rohit Sharmas... I am sure they have been given enough chance to be there in the eleven. Despite some failures, I am sure Sachin had proved his mettle (as compared to the youngsters) to be in the playing eleven of the Test team or the ODI team. Its rubbish to talk about mortality pills and all that.

Words of great
by girish on Apr 20, 2009 11:34 AM

I think what Sachin is saying should be followed in any form of activity be it sports, art.. any profession... any job... any service. One should be in love with what one is doing and enjoy every moment of it. It is then can one reach the pinnacle of greatness in that activity. It is different if one gets money or achieves fame this way. But surely one will derive immense pleasure in this form and the process of reaching the pinnacle of greatness can be an everlasting source of happiness till the end of life.

Sourav 1 run from 12 balls in yesterday IPL match... and he was not representing KKR anymore even though he is called as a prince of Kolkata. So first, you local people give respect to Sourav and then only others will respect..

Today, there are more important issues
by vikram on Apr 20, 2009 11:30 AM  | Hide replies

During these last 5 years it has happened or no ?

Has the stock market tumbled and made millions of small, middle class people loose their hard earned savings, every last rupee and made them commit suicide ?
Has price of PHARMACEUTICALS, PAINKILLERS GONE DOWN ?? Has cost of education gone down ?
Do 1% richest people in the country have more wealth and say/ power / influence than 90% of the poorest people
Has number, instances of suicides and rapes become common ??
Have Banks agreed to reduce rate of interest ?
Do you feel u r earning for the bank ? and ur pockets are always empty ?..... money ille , not there !
has government taken any action to significantly reduce ROI and check if bankers are passing on the reduction in rate of interests to thier OLD CLIENTS
Has porography, pervertness and kinkyism, frustration increased , become very common ?
Are more woman out on the streets to ESCORT/ compromise, to earn a living because of loosing jobs and proper means of livelihood ?
Has Government put deaf ear towards revival and unemployment ?
has money been splurged on a particular sport even when we are saying there is recession in the country ?
Whay again and again, there is VOLATILITY IN THE SHARE MARKET.
Why people are being made to deliberately loose their all money in stocks by repeated UPS and DOWNS ?
This way, rich will remain rich and Poor will become more Poor ?
Why is this happeneing, what manipulation is behind this ? Cast your vote for a better Govt.

He nearly? Did he. But then Dhoni managed to loose it for CSK, Yuvraj for PXI and Ganguly for KKR.
Those 3 suck big time.

...cont

But now that he is in such great form, why is he so adamant about not playing the T20 World Cup? "No point. This Indian team has gelled quite beautifully as a unit and there’s no need why I should be playing T20 cricket," Tendulkar added.
