On paper Delhi and Chennai are the strongest teams. So them meeting in Semi seems a little unlikely (though anything can happen). If I were to make a prediction, I would say Delhi Vs Chennai final.

T20 = Base Ball
by White Tiger on Apr 16, 2009 10:48 PM  | Hide replies

T20 is looking more or less like a base ball now.. except in Baseball home run in 1 run but in T20 it is sixer.. both are hitting the ball as hard as possible..

baseball is tougher with a very slim stick for a bat not a chapta wide bat like in cricket. they should get some baseball players to play cricket God knows what they will do hit the ball out of the city perhaps and they run much faster

baseball players will outplay cricket players for sure if given a chance with the wide cricket bat instead of a baseball bat which is much tougher

may be base ball players should play with cricket ball and the players(fielders) on the ground should play with out any hand gloves.

Baseball was probably invented because some people would have found cricket too hard to play... instead of bowling just throw the ball.. and instead of batting just swing the stick..
probably they didn't know how to play football either .. and hence they invented the american football where they can use hand and foot both..

Not for country but for money
by Amit on Apr 16, 2009 10:41 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni and harbhajan could not take out time from their busy life to accept the Padmshree. Couple of weeks back I was wondering if Aishwarya and Akshay deserved padmshree. Today their is a feeling of Deja Vu. Harbhajan and Dhoni has done a lot for the country. Have they? Well one tend to think so seeing their brilliant career, but did they actually do it for country or it was money? Well, by not attending the ceremony they proved that they do not give a damn to the country and padmshree. All they care about is MONEY. They were able to make it to the promotions of their brand. They were able to fill their advertisement commitment but they could not get time to take Padmshree. Really a shame.

They can earn as much money as they can, but they sould not ignore these things of national importance. They have made all their Fans to think again of their credibility. Is it just the money that is motivating current cricketer or is there a will to make nation proud. Question remains

Don't take it serious.. Whole india know, Padmashree and Padmabushan are crap awards.. They are just given to satisfy the well wishers for the member of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.. There is nothing prestigious in this award..

Dhoni is already given highest award in sport (Khel Ratna).. I don't know why these politicians (morons) selected him for Padmashree (low award when compared to Khel Ratna)..

do you, Olympic Bronze medalist Sushil and vijendra are not given Padmashree.. Padmashree has become a crap awards many year ago..

IPL is nothing but a vulgar show of shameless money making .... Now they have introduced a new rule in T20 .... an ADVERTISEMENT BREAK of 450 seconds X 2 or 900 seconds of advertising has been introduced , so that the viewer has to sit and watch ADS .... GREAT

Suppose you are sent to US by the company you are working with, during elections. Would you refuse to go there so that you are able to vote? No, never.. Though voting is our duty, but profession comes first. This is not the first time any cricketer is missing the elections. This has happened earlier also.

By the way, are you voting this time? Or just criticizing our cricketers, as it has become your profession

By shifting IPL venue out of India , BCCI showed great profession (money at the top) and extremely poor nationalism. It is really shame for all the Indians. They drained the indian money out of India. Shame on Modi

Hi Umesh,
There is a difference in IPL and elections
if there is fault in IPL it is a fault of particular system. but if there is a fault in our election system it is due to all of us. Can you tell me is it possible for a democratic Nation to exist without election, I think nevel. so nation can move without IPL but not without elections. However, if you think there is something wrong in the election system, we all are responsible for it as well as it is in our hands to improve it or make it better and better

IPL has taken the right decision to take the tournament away. It's a clear-cut indication of true professionalism. A tournament should not be postponed/cancelled because of elections.

Oh Yes, indian money is being drained out of India. as BCCI,is one of the richest body in the world because of emotional attachemts and love for the cricket game which had made the cricket in India extremely famous. So indian cricket lovers has a great contribution in making the BCCI so rich. Now the IPC is taking place out side the india, for which BCCI had paid a huge-huge amount of mony to SA.
