Terrible Idea from Mr Home Minister
by Animesh Naskar on Apr 11, 2009 11:12 AM  | Hide replies

Pathetic idea. He thinks the cricketing works like Govt projects. Half work done during the reign of one government then waits till next govt decides to carry on with the project. Can anyone imagine a break of one month of break within a series of such an intensity. Is govt willing to pay for logistics for the cool off period? I feel what has happened, did happen for the best. No one needs to give excuse.

Hello Raman,

1st know to read properly before commenting. Where did 'General Elections' figure in the comment of Animesh Naskar.

Shfting of IPL is a history. Why does PC raise this now, and that too such a insane, prepostorous idea. No doubt, today our economy is in such a bad shape after four years of stint as EM by this senseless crazy fellow.

Hi Ankur & Abdul, I never said IPL should be carried out despite security concerns. In fact PC surprisingly has done something correct this time. The reason i am frustrated with PC because he makes statements which are ambiguous.
Why can't he simply say that IPL is not possible because of GE & security reason. Instead he asked IPL to discuss with state Govts, then asked them to revise schedule, futile discussions... Now he says IPL could have been conducted in phases. Which makes me suspect that his motive is not abt security concerns but to make some money with IPL. He and his son made huge money in financial market by cleverly planned manipulations and now PC wants to repeat his games with internal security.

I agree with you budy!!!

PC has a Typical congress response...like for last 60 years they have fooled the people and in process have nutured corruption like HIV which is refusing to go with bigger scoundrels politicians & mafias like Lalu, Mayawati,Mulayam, in congress with likes of Shivraj Patil,PC..
what is there in store for Indian public...

Almost nightmarish experience is staring at general public for years to come...

May God save India from the demons in power!!!

My only question is 'Is Cricket bigger than any other thing in this country?" my answer is "No". There are many more important things like General Election which are more important than these bullshit cricket matches. Now if government is taking steps to ensure the safety of people and if that means IPL can't be held at this point so be it. Are Elections important or IPL? Or if you think IPL can be held simultaneously then why dont you guys who are against it join Police Force and strengthen it but you will always blame the government. If there is a blast then its govt's fault and if they take precautionary measures then they are chameleon's. My only suggestion to Jeyaprakash and Indian, If you think you can change this, come forward and fight elecetion, win it and then when next time elections are to be held alongside IPL then we will see ur decision.

I agree with Ankur...blaming Govt. on the decision of not allowing IPL alongside GE is right decision...but i'm sure people like 'India & Jayaprakash' or opposition parties may make this issue as their Election mudda.

Abdul:

No one is making any mudda..... PC is unilaterally coming out and making unncessary statements.... the tournament has been moved out of India ... period...
Why is he now bringing that topic again?.... it only shows that contrary to Ankur's claims that there are other important issues, PC does not think so, and hence wants to discuss cricket at this sensitive juncture...

Hello hpn,

It's not necessary that when developed markets are in doldrums developing ones follow ditto. IN general developing ones will have lesser trouble, FYI see china, brazil.

We are much worse of than other developing ones bcoz these stupid fellows didn't do any infrastarcture development except filling their pockets, eventhough the credit was easist in recent history. Who stopped them from doing so?

In my view, people like you who bark with half knowlwdgw are the ones who are a ban to our nation. Just see his suggestion a sport tournament with a gap of one month. He is just like you, thinking that, what he is saying highly imaginative, when it is downright stupid.
