Indians are good at spreading their religions and philosohies overseas with missionary zeal but neglecting the home front. All this passion about spreading cricket overseas may backfire like hocey with other new entrants performing better than India while the administrators make merry.
Why do people who don't understand cricked get perplexed at the fact that there are 10 ways of getting out. Why dosn't it show the great complexity of the game which is what makes it interesting. If all you have to do is just run faster or run and put a ball in net then where is the need to put your brain to work. Cricket is maybe the only game which tests you both physically and mentally

I don't abuse Cricket. But saying that football is not just a physical game. It is very much on presence of mind, intelligence, skills and physical power. You will understand it when you play. Come join a football club.

Both are diffferent games and I love both of them .. even most of the games in the world .. But then if I don't like golf does not mean I should say golf is bad game ..

JERRY AWESOME INSIGHT..go get a life man.. theres no game better than soccer.. to build up techniques in football and is much tougher than any other contact sport and cricket cannot even be mentioned here.. u have a long way to go b4 understanding the complexities of the game of football...

cricket is an average sport that is big only in a few commonwealth countries and except for the subcontinent(who have nothing constructive to do), cricket is not a craze anywhere in the world. and btw, cricket has never been popular in any country that has ever been a sporting giant with the exception of oz and england and we know that england suck in cricket we indians should look beyond the highly stupid sport which has games that go on for five days from early morning to late evening eventually resulting in draws or rain/weather wash outs.

overtake cricketc - no question of overtaking, cricket has always been 3rd cricket compared to soccer in england, you should say that rugby overtook cricket in england in 2003 btw, if u look at our country(india), we think that cricket is no 1 and bollywood is no 2 but the reality is that cricket is not even one-tenth of football globally and like bollywood is not even on-tenth of hollywood globally(coz of the language barrier) cricket is an average sport tht is not popular outside a few commonwealth countries and only the stupid sub-continent is crazy about it as we really know

english ppl w'd rather prefer to watch boxer amir khan in action or the ryder cup or see andy murray... nones bothered abt cricket thr as well as world over..
some idiots here try to glorify the game saying that its a game of glorious uncertanities and it needs lotsa mental strength... what rubbish!!!!

i really dont care anything abt cricket or bollywood.. crickets such a boring sport and we r promoting it only coz we r really sad in other sports.. bollywoods even worse... the use the media to promote themselves as something gr8... in all departments bollywood is really behind regional cinema.. how sick can the person be who sends tzp to oscars? suneel darshan is head of the jury who made movies like dhadkan.. no wonder...
the only question is that whn will the indian public start acting sensible and not like blatant fools

@RK Hi, why not cricket...cricket is a huge revenue earner for the country...IPL TV rights are sold for 1 billion dollar and that too by an MNC...its not that that high for soccer also for that less period...and secodly it also binds the nation...so why not...India always have a habbit of looking down on the things and love whatever west do...commo dude get life...
Lets hope more european teams come and become full members so BCCI will not have monopoly voting at ICC meetings. This could lead to crap teams like Bangla and Zim will be removed.
If Italy start playing cricket, they will cheat and win matches as they do in football and be worse than Pakistan. Expect sixes to win match off the last ball and blatant time wasting and efforts to intimidate the umpires.
By the way, striker Christian Vieri's favourite batsman was Allan Border - he had lived in Australia till 1988 till he was 15 and then came back to Italy.
