Nahi, tour to karan hai, par IPL jitane paise lekar. Paise nahi mile isliye rooth kara fishing ke liye chala gayaa Symo.
It is surprising the way people are responding to this news which has nothing to do even with Indian cricket! But you read responses for Olypics games news or Bihar flood,Less than 10 posts are posted! This clearly shows the brain level of fellow indians and their seriousness towards real issues!

Nothing to do with Indian Cricket?!!! Arre, the person who almost created a diplomatic crisis between two countries is being discussed here, not some saas-bahu serial.

Dont be that harsh yaar... Agreed, he is an ill-behaved person on and off the field, but the fact remain that he is a wonderful and exciting player. A sight to behold on the field of play. I hope - purely as a fan of Cricket- that he gets over this lean period in his career and comes back as a much better player and a better human being.

agreed. symo has dirty behaviour on the field but good ckting talent. i dont like his behaviour just like other ausies. but u cant ignore his single handed match winning innings like in 2003 wc.
First test at Bangalore(Bounce with turn) Second test at Mohali(bouncy pitch aiding fast bowlers) Third test at Delhi(Raging turner) Fourth test at Nagpur(bouncy pitch aiding fast bowlers)
What is this nonsense?? Can i say that India will win the first test, Australia will second, India will win third and Australia will square the series by winning the fourth??
It seems so to me....maybe IPL compulsions and the need to keep excellent relations with cricket Australia might mean that India has sold its test cricketing culture to advertisers and sponsors!!
Maybe the 4-0 or 5-0 whitewash is a thing of the past and today there is a need to balance out nationalistic fervour and chauvinism....
Re: Tests matches arranged in a suspicious manner!!

except mohali supporting pace, all the pitches r dead or turners.

I think the 3 Mobile Test Match series in Australia was planeed to suit the Advertisers bcoz I have never seen such flat wickets in Australia, The pitches in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide were basically flat wickets which would assist spinner's on 4th and 5th day, In fact the much touted "Fastest Pitch in world" Perth wicket also turned out to be a Damp squib and it also was a flat batting track assisting spinner's on 4th and 5th day.
In order to attract Advertiser's and Sponsors most of these Test wickets are prepared for batting only, Rarely do U see a fast bouncy track now-a-days even in South Africa.........

this is very disheartening for the pacers n to see some good batting display against genuine quicks.

You never know how the pitches in Nagpur will behave as the Test will be played in the VCA's Brand New State-of-the art Stadium at Jamtha, near Nagpur. VCA [ Vidarbha Cricket Association ] President Shashank Manohar will be the new president of BCCI this month-end. So it can be expected that he will ensure that his team gets the maximum home advantage so that the New Stadium starts on a auspicious note for him and the Indian Team. It is likely to be turner so that Kumble Harbhajan can destroy the Aussies in a turner
If there is one allrounder who has shown class, commitment and performance over a decade, then it has to be Jacque Kallis...
Kallis has been an integral member of the South African team from 1996 and i don't recall a single ocassion where his commitment has wavered. If he does not contribute with the bat(which is rare), he will chip in with 3/4 wickets with his medium pcae!! Also, fields brilliantly at slip and never drops catches!! When he could not bowl due to injury, he nreinvented himself as a Bradmanasque batsman and today averages well over 55!!
This stupendous record as an allrounder comes with commitment and discipline...captain Graeme Smith has vouched for the fact that Kallis is the most important memeber in the team...
Symonds is very talented and is a multi-skilled cricketer who can do just about anything, it is time he recognises his immense talent and models his thinking and game based on Kallis instead of following the larrikin image of Gibbs, Kambli and Chris Cairns!!
Re: Symonds needs to learn from Jacque Kallis!!
by SachinTheGreat on Sep 01, 2008 07:35 PM
Jacques Kallis is the "Best Allrounder in world cricket" bcoz He has scored 9700 runs in just 123 Test Matches at an average of 55, He has scored 30 hundred's and I am sure Jacques Kallis will be the first batsman to break Sachin Tendulkar's record of 39 Test hundred's, Jacques Kallis has also picked 240 Test Match wickets at an average of 31.
Re: Symonds needs to learn from Jacque Kallis!!
by SachinTheGreat on Sep 01, 2008 07:43 PM
In fact Jacques Kallis will bcom,e the only player to score 10,000 runs and 250 wickets in Test Matches, In fact Jacques Kallis will bcome the only batsman in world cricket to score 10,000 runs without scoring even a single 200, Jacques Kallis has scored 30 hundred's in Test Matches with his highest score being 169*....................................

He is the greatest allrounder after Sir Garfield Sobers of West Indies!! Sobers also had a similar record...some 26 test hundreds and 250 odd wickets!! Mind boggling!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Symonds needs to learn from Jacque Kallis!!
by SachinTheGreat on Sep 01, 2008 07:49 PM
Yes I think Jacques Kallis is probalbly best allrounder after Sir Garfield Sobers, SOme Moronic Buffoon commentators were comparing Yuvraj SIngh to Sir Garfield Sobers after Yuvraj Singh slogged those 6 6er's in T20 world cup but they forgot that Sir Garfield Sobers had a gr8 Test Match record both as a batsman and bowler, In the present scenario only Jacques Kallis can be compared to him.........
Re: Symonds needs to learn from Jacque Kallis!!

Andrew Flintoff s just a figment of imagination of English Media, In fact they needed someone to be projected as a gr8 allrounder after Botham, It is an insult to Sir Garfield Sobers and Jacques Kallis to compare them to Nincompoop like Andrew Flintoff, The only skill that Andrew Flintoff knows is to chew some sugary chewing gum and rub it on to the ball to get reverse swing........
