Mishra seems gud spinner and can be destructive esp in sub-continent pitches. I'm from Pak and I wanna say that Saqlain is there in ur country who I guess taught Bhajji notably 'doosara' Waseem Akram polished ur 4 southpaw's bowler. Isn't he? Mushtaq Ahmed has named spinner-coach of England team. an honour for us In short V give U a bowlers and spinners werna you had a batting power only now its balance by Paki bowlers. Mishrah can also meet Pak 2 spinning Maestro and i hope he'll be becuz ICL comes in dehli so as india 3rd test is also in dehli. isn't it?
We need more players who are less interested in perfecting their English and modelling, and who actually prefer to concentrate on playing good cricket. Well done mishra...

can you plz name some really good bowlers that took wickets and stood with sachin to win games its not one man army learn cricket first and then come and talk here
Well done But he has to bowl some pace, Surely got patter for Kumble for delhi test, Consistent is the key, U cannot trust any bowler apart from bajji & kumble.
Similary store to S bhautale, no consistent.
Surely kumble should play for 3rd test and England series also. What Ramiz Raja was Expressing about kumble in NeoSport channel in Dial C programm is baseless and still dhoni need experience to handle captaincy at test level as pitch is turning, is lucky to get got name under is belt.
Mishra is a substitute for Kumble. Mishra performed well in the absence of kumble. That should not dictate dropping of kumble or any other player.. It merely reflected the fact that Mishra is a very good player and can be considered for the future series(wherein the performances of the other players including kumble should take into account). As for as now, mishra should go back and wait for his next opportunity.

If it was the Aussie way Kumble would have been dropped. Look how Australia are struggling now without Warne. But that is not the case with India. India are not without young spinners. Warne retired even while he was taking wickets. Warne never lost his form. Unlike Kumble who is not only unfit but also unable to grab wickets. Kumble does not deserve a place at the current time. Maybe when he regains form and fitness Kumble can be eligible but not at the present time. You are right in a way, that is Indian selectors should pick players based only on merit and not on past performances.

No no Ausoies do not drop veterans like that. They allowed Border to overtake Gavaskars record even if he has scored 100 in 45 odd innings.
Last season Hadin played when Gili was injured, Hadin scored 80 runs & did good wicket keeping BUT he was dropped next match for GILI. After poor performance with Bat & keeping gentleman Gili himself decided to retire. Then only Hadin came into picture. Ausies give due respect to veterans. Look at the recent test record of Hyden. Nobody talks of his form That is the Ausies way . They groom their juniors well and respect seniors well.

how much more respect do you want. Kumble's hand should be broken & he should be forced to retire. Else we will lose many young talents like mishra or chawla who are much better than him. He is at 38. When you want him to retire, at 60?

Aussie way-- Stuart Mcgill on the trip to West Indies struggled to get wickets, just becuse he could not pick any wicket that one innings he declared retirement, second day of first test match. Same way Martin went off, as he was not able to score for one series. Kumble had a horrible Sri Lanka series and he strated poorly against Aussies. We are not telling him to retire, but just be off for couple of matches, so that the guy in good nick can push the Aussies to corner.

what else do you expect for the scores of 10,20, 30...Just because he played one good innings long, long ago, it doesn't mean that he should have a place all the time....He can't field, he can't run and he can't bend his back.
India is a country of 110 crores out of which at least 10 crore play active cricket .Hence at any time there are around 50-60 players who are capable of playing test cricket.Because Sachin,Sourav,Rahul

The oldies were instrumental in India getting a strong first innings lead. You can talk of replacing the oldies only after youngsters like Gambhir start getting big hundreds.

U cannot leave oldies, they are one knows the condition very well, Look Windies have good players in 1990, suddenly all players left, their postion in the cricket world is not so great, No great player are their in a team probably one or two will not sufficient. Mr. Sanjay Ranade Brain Lara was keen commited not every of fab 4 should retier, let it go another world cup 2011.
