Kumble- Harbajan
by Crick fan on Oct 19, 2008 12:02 PM

This had been a very sucessful and permanent spinners duo for us. But Last two series Kumble has struggled to get wickets and for 2 matches gone wicketless. Even wickets are not easy to come by for Harbajan. The new guy in Amit Mishra is picking wickets like he is plucking leaves. May be try some more new bowlers.

Why Kapil Dev's name is not there. Vs England India neded 22 to avoid a follow-on and Kapil was batting with 11th man Maninder. He hit Eddy Hemmings for 4 sixers to score 24 and avoid follow on. He hit more than 4 sixers that match.

My salute to the great Sourav Ganguly
by Vikram Laskar on Oct 18, 2008 11:27 PM  | Hide replies

Hello Ganguly Lovers & Haters,

There is a saying "You can love him or hate him but you cannot ignore him"
Sourav Ganguly is that sort of a person. A great motivator who has immense will power and belief in himself and his teammates.
No other Indian player can make such a comeback that he has made in his carrer.
As a capatain, he was great and induced self-belief in all the junior players, who will now play/are playing for India.

Don’t be sad….Dada is very wise and has taken the right decision at the right time.
Now he will get the farewell from the team and board that he deserves, just like the Australian players get from their board.
I don’t think in the past any Indian player has announced his retirement during a series where he is playing.

Don’t be sad….Dada has transformed a team from weak lambs to fierce tigers, who can win test matches and series in Australia, England, WestIndies, South Africa, Pakistan.

The people of India will be grateful to Sourav Ganguly “The Prince of Calcutta and the King of India and THE GREAT CAPTAIN OF INDIA”

S, this is sure that he hit 4 sixes.
