Fabalous Four
by AJIT PATHAK on Oct 04, 2008 08:36 AM

I could not agre morewithBoycott. This selection commitee has played asecond fiddle to the politics. It is time theFab4 resign of their own. Shreekant I feel has failed. The Fab4 wil together score just under 100 runs in this series. because the 4 in form players r ignored. God help the team A K Pathak

'Some Indian batsmen just there for endorsement deals'
by Nirpinder Singh on Oct 04, 2008 08:18 AM  | Hide replies

This is an astute comment by an unbiased observer. The BCCI is not liberal enough with its funds to reward outgoing players adequately. As a result the players tend to linger hoping to prolong their endorsement income.

yes BCCI operates like a typical Indian company where the mgmt is control freak and power hungry and clings to power and money and ignores the employees.

Boycott-the Racist
by gigi jacob on Oct 04, 2008 08:01 AM  | Hide replies

Mr Boycott,Even England team had lost their respect and faith in you.At what age you retired?Where were you when Graham Gooch was playing tests for England at 38?You English dogs are keen on barking at Asians. You complained a lot about Indian batmen and Indian conditions in your autobiography.Don't worry about the fab fours as three of them already overtaken your 8000 runs in tests.Behave yourself and look after your wife very well who had taken you to court once for beating her severely.

I guess Boycott retired when he was 42 or 43... The best guy to talk about prolonging one's playing career!!This is definitely the start of Mind games ahead of the England series....way ahead that is.

Dont worry BOYCOTT !!
by Munish Sethi on Oct 04, 2008 07:40 AM

I always respected Boycott in his dashing commentary era, but yes sometimes he overspeak on issues..
He is very tru regading endorsements facts, but i belive he is underestimating Dhoni's squad. Dont forget boycott, we kicked whole world and won 20-20. These youngsters only brought that one and i think 20-20 is the fastest of the games.
About tests, i cant say much about our current team, but yes, dont get over excited, December is not too far.. Let the goras come and we can tell them what our kids can do..

JUST THE RIGHT TIME AND FUEL
by shantanu on Oct 04, 2008 07:40 AM

I guess Boycotts remarks come just at the right time.We needed something to spur on the Fab 4 and i believe boycott just did that. They'll b walking in there to prove a point, and i believe just like they have delivered when it mattered, they will deliver this time too.Wat ppl dont realise is that in the last ten yrs we've won more tests abroad and beaten australia more than any other opposition. And its all bcuz of the fab 4.We have won more series overseas, tendulkar scored two hundreds when in australia, and i believe he is ready. The problem with boycott is that he doesnt know that these guys will still b endorsing products after they retire ,and they make enough money elsewhere to keep them happy, unlike the english cricket where they cant afford a decent hotel for the visiting team.

the person in bad form is kept in india team to please south indians e. g. dravid, kumbale

the person in bad form is kept in india team to please south indians e. g. dravid, kumbale
2. the worst batsman is kept in team to just break lara record of most test runs
3. the pitches of india are as dry as johnsburg so all kangaroos will hit the indians hard
4. the indian bowlers are having very less stamina & fielders drop catches
5. every body wants to field in sleep so he has to move very less & can relax & drop catches
6. team is full of revalri e. g. rahul dravid declaration when sachin was 194 not out
7. every indian opner is working like government officer 9 to 5 so very few partnerships in 2k8
8. there will be absolutely no support for cricket because indians want to encourage other games
9. umpires are having option of review to consult third umpire to cross check the errors
10. there is lack of team spirit and captain is not the best form of batting, bowling, fielding
11. selectors deleberately keep young consistent successful players away from main 11 team

Boycott is right - Fab4 are not allowing youngsters to fill their place
by S Shrikanth on Oct 04, 2008 07:14 AM  | Hide replies

Fab4 Kumble is a mafia which has by force (Political and Commercial) occupying the middle positions and not allowing youngsters to fill their place and make a strong team that could beat everyone in future.

The real reason is the long list of commercial contracts they have signed with corporates who are driving their cricket career. These 5 cricketers are more powerful than BCCI and BCCI have to dance to their tunes due to corporate support.

Unless these 5 honorary members are shown the way, India will never have a World Champion team. 8bxez

so ricky pointing must be very sure to hit the indian hard and make maximum of his last tour to
india as captain. ricky pointing has hit 140 superb in world cup final against directionless
indian bowling attack. ricky pointing will miss his friends saurabh, sachin, dravid, laxman
one more reason for australia no. 1 is bradman sir did not play one more test to make record
of 100 as average and recently steave wah was removed from one day team for slow batting & even
after that steave did not get discouraged & scored 81 againsts his last innings to save test?
so australia selection is tough

anil kumble to do worst case analysis being engineer if he did not keep WCA in option in BEexam
sir don bradman played on 52 test hence 52 test must be maximum one test player play
to compare him self with don. this reminds me story of hair (52) & tortoise (156=52x3)?
3.s. indian selectors & sachin must learn what they want, world record or 4-0 white wash ?
3.t. anil kumble to do worst case analysis along with his short temperred vice captain of 3-1
defeat in australia tour & 2-1 defeat in shree lanka tour it is tough task for both c&vc
3.u. anil kumbale has to prove his presence as captain with engineering master mind alwayscompare ur self with austalian team each member last ten tests performance charts & select
3.y. history & big records do not come true on paper so paper tigers fail like avalanche in
film vertical limit so paper tigers fab 4 out?

ganguly!!
by neha mishra on Oct 04, 2008 06:47 AM  | Hide replies

save this page in bookmarks of your browser, I bet that saurav will not get any chance for atleast coming 2 years in any form of cricket, because I know that he will not score in any of the match he will be selected for, as confident and determined people can be distinguished from others, but there is nothing as such visible in ganguly.

so in net this inclusion of ganguly is just to make you all people happy(esp from bengal), and watch him ruining the series and increasing the probability of d defeat of India.

Boycott you talk too much
by ramesh rasanayagam on Oct 04, 2008 06:30 AM  | Hide replies

Being a srilankan and a die hard fan of cricket, I honestly feel Geoff does more talking than make sense. He was just an average cricketer like Bishen singh bedi, so both of them open their huge mouths to try and put other criketers down. Tendulkar, Ganguly, Dravid and VVS are the best in business. Lets not worry about guys over the Hill talking.
