M.Clark scored 98 in first inning. Katich also scored 50 in 2nd inning. So we can't say it is batsman's nightmare.

Add to this list the infamous dust bowls of India

Mumbai - Spitting and turning (Remember 4th test match against Australia 2003 where Aussies could not chase 100 runs in the 4th innings)

Delhi - Turn and bounce

Kanpur - Turn and low bounce

WICKET - SYMONDS c McCULLUM b MARTIN 20
Martin continues to Symonds, the Kiwis desparate for a wicket at the moment with 13 overs left for the day. They felt they nearly had one, Symonds glances it just eludes the keeper but it is leg byes. The next ball is a bouncer and Symonds has a swipe at it, edges and is gone - 5/109 and game on at the 'Gabba.

WICKET - WATSON LBW b MARTIN 5
Well this game could be over tomorrow at this rate, wicket number 16 for the day as Watson is trapped in front by Martin, only half forward in defence, Australia 6/115

Indians are good players of fast bowling. But they struggles where they find much seam movement. Bounce or speed is not a problem.

gabba wicket is really one of the most difficult wicket to bat on

one century in gabba against any bowling attack is equal to 5 100s in flat tracks of sydney and adelaide

the brisbane track is quick, bouncy and also the ball seams very well overthere bcoz of cool breeze weather in queensland state of australia

ghodi ke, MCG is far bouncier than Brisbane....if u say Brisbane is like headingley it shld be a seam assisting wicket and not a bouncy track as u stupidly claimed above.

Ponting is Indianised, Team India is Australiaised
by Orient Mystique on Nov 21, 2008 12:53 PM  | Hide replies

Yes, this is what I have discovered.

In the last few tests, Ponting has only one century to show (scored in Bangalore Test against India) and rest of his scores are forgettable by his past standards. In the ongoing test against NZ, he has scored 4 & 17.

This reminds one of our own Ganguly, Dravid etc.

So, verily, Ponting has been Indianised.

On the other hand, the Indians under the new captain cool, captain marvel have become (let us hope it lasts long) something of an all conquerors, analagous to the good old Australian teams. Also, the Indian players have become overtly aggressive and do not take things lying down or meekly these days.

Thus, there is nothing wrong in saying that Team India has beeen Australiaised.

When the wheel of time rotates, what is at the nadir goes up to the zenith and vice-versa!
